These writers are a disgrace to the profession. You're right about them changing Adam into such an awful character. I can't stand Victoria or Neil either right now because he just kisses all their asses.

ruining everything they touch. they are like rats running from one thing to another. This is more than depressing

im going to defend the writer's Maria Ariana Bell and Hogan Sheffer have restored Y&R from the brink of destruction from when LML was in charge. in fact slowly but surly they are bringing back most of the old regime (i.e writers and directors) that LML fired. sure storyline will never satisfy all views but at least it's 100% better then the story lines we were getting a few months ago i.e the reliquary and Victor having epilepsy.
also what I find impressive is how they are bring back old character's with a twist like take Chloe did anyone ever think that she was Ester's daughter Kate? I don't think so! that shows creativity and a willingness to use history to build a proper storyline. unlike LML.
I also love that Ashley and Billy are back and Abby is not far behind. I give this new team a A- like I said all the storylines are not perfect they never were even under Bill Bell, but at least we are getting the old Y&R back and not just some General Hospital rip off. yes yes the Bells are back in charge and that is the best news long time Y&R fans can hope for!

Well said, Darlotto. Any show goes through slow periods, but I think there have been a lot of new, good things on the show lately that have more than kept my interest.

I know I'm new here, but I don't understand why it's okay to trash the writers, but negative comments against the actors themselves are frowned upon?

She show has changed, and there are story lines I don't like, but that will ALWAYS be the case. I love the new River Baldwin story line and I even enjoy Chloe/Billy saga and the plans for Jack/Gloria to take back Jabot , but I also detest what they've done to Adam . So while I also hate seeing the prissy Newman's win once again (as they always do), I suppose we'll always have to take the bad with the good .

The only one who should be fired is CBS V.P Barbra Bloom she was responsible for bringing in her friend LML who almost destroyed the show. I would like to see a Bell run CBS Daytime so he can protect his father's show.

as for the campaign for Victoria Rowell (Dru) to come back to the show that needs to stop right now! she is nothing but a diva and needs to stay far away from the Y&R it is clear the cast detests her and she thinks she is bigger then the show. so enough with the begging for her to return!

Considering how terrible the show was just 10 months ago, before that Latham woman left, the show is dramatically better now. I think Maria Bell and that Scheffer fellow are at least trying to get Y&R back to the show it once was. So I'll wait not so patiently for it to continue to improve.

you also have to remember... to introduce new s/ls you have to bring them from what they were... if that makes sense. you cant go from what the characters were doing and who they were with to something new and exciting that the new writers came up with you have to take that rough dirt road to get there. we just have to be patient
