I remember the cross she held on to when David was having his problems, she prayed and cried and got very emotional...and she also felt that way about, even more so, during all the trauma of Sabrina, the baby and especially of her (the way she puts it: "true love and soul mate", Victor...remember in Mexico, she prayed and cried out for him and prayed some more? Of all the characters, she seems most religious to me...even though NO ONE ever attends church on Sundays!

You know, you just may have a point there! In Genoa City's calendars, it's strictly Monday through Friday, 5 days a week and NO weekends!!

And sometimes they actually party hearty on a work night and still get to work on time bright eyed and bushy tailed. Now there would be a story line... have a week end sometime.
And then Monday morning at work they could say... How was your weekend... what did you do??? And the answer... I went to church... You? LOL

Maybe they just have "week ends" every 4 years, like Leap Year (with Feb 29th)...

It sometimes feels like that's all I get too.

The hospital chapel was used quite often whenever anyone was there in a life-threatening situation. I believe Paul and Christine were married in church, weren't they? Nick and Sharon as well as Vikki and Ryan (just as he was killed at the alter). So, there have been quite a few religious ceremonies over the years. Mary Williams was the only one who was ever active in her church, church circle, church dinners, church this and that. I think she spent as much time there as she did at home or Paul's office meddling in his business.

No one is religious; they are all hypocrites. You cannot
live a life of sin, and then attend church and call yourself religious. You have to walk the walk and talk the talk. It is one thing to repent for your sins, but they continue to sin---murder, lying, theft, coveting, worshipping money and power, adultery, on and on and on.

They need the church only during weddings (to show off), for funerals (to show how "religious" they are), and for crises (to create drama.)

Nikki religious? LOL!!! Gimmee a break. Nikki's only "religion" is finding yet another man to bed........that is when Victor throws her aside yet again. I used to really like Nikki but she has become extremely hateful and pompous lately. Why? I have no idea, maybe because she's over the hill and finally realizes it.

I guess if attracting the wrath of the fashion Gods makes you the most religious, then, yes, she's totally a religious fanatic!

But I think that Ana child wins. She sings about Jesus while people are boozin' in a juke joint. That's hot and religiously devoted!

The bottom line with this - if I may second guess from working in entertainment - is the cost and the other things involved. When it's a funeral - it's cast members who attend the funeral (one character for another...) however if they were to have a regular Sunday mass - it would involve hiring extras, having to have extra this and that - a wrangler for the extras, etc... So - to do a Sunday regular service would up the cost of the soap, would take away from the regular characters and wouldn't really add anything to a storyline. It would even involve an additional set that is probably not already there on a regular basis.

If they want to depict a Sunday - and give the impression of church - they could be re-entering home, dressed in Sunday best and someone could make mention of something that the priest or minister said during service. You know even something as simple as "nice service today, wasn't it." But to show church in general gets complex.

I don't think anyone right now is that religious.

From the past I would say maybe Hope. She spent a lot of time reading her bible and quite frequently mentioned going to church.
