Think about what Eden means. This girl does not symbolize
Eden. Why would a child raised in an ashram where there is religion, calm, and happiness become such a shrew? I know she is in a new environment, but her personality and anger
seem over the top for a child raised in a religious community.

For the love of sanity, I wish the writers would send the angry girl back to ashram, better yet, why not just move her to another daytime soap like Another World.

How did she learn to dance so sexually and tease boys the way she does living such a sheltered life.

I still think they just need --. BADLY.

I have to say, anyone raised in the Ashram environment (from what they are telling us) would, I think, be a calmer person and not given to the hysterics of the Eden we are seeing. Her constant bad mood, rudeness, and self-serving manner isn't becoming of what "River" appears to project. Also, her appearance at a party, drinking and sexy dancing doesn't ring true with her background of a religious-type upbringing.

They need to tone down her image.

not one who acts like she lived on the streets and
had to defend herself to live.
By what i see, she was raised in love type enviorment, since her dad was a hippy in the 60's
when all was love and peace. im sure she was taught that.

I am also very tired of the angry teen storylines that seem to crop up on the soaps from time to time. If Eden was raised in a peaceful enviroment by a loving father then why all the rage. I'm not sure whether it's the writers -- make the character so obnoxious but at this point, I'm fast-forwarding through anything to do with Eden.

Boy , fast learner! i got an idea, Gloria wanted to adopt a child awile back , I think she would be a perfect mother for eden.

teens are teens are teens. You, yourself may be a very religious and calm person, but that doesn't mean your teen won't act out. Plus, if all she was around was peace and calm, and then all of a sudden her world was turned upside down and she was thrown into a new environment, she could act out. Sometimes even the nicest of kids throw a temper tantrum if they are told they are going to have to "move" away from something that has been familiar to them, part of their lives.

Plus, - the "temper tantrums" are just a way to block people being close. She's probably afraid to let people "in." The world she knew and the people she knew are now gone -- so she doesn't want anyone to get close to her - because she probably feels she will have to get up and move again - so she puts on the false front first -- be first to hurt them so they can't hurt you. And she's only 15 -- she's not matured enough to figure it all out... but it's probably more of a defense mechinism.

And I doubt she lived in the Ashram her whole life anyway - didn't they say she was on the run with her father -- so she's probably never had a chance to get close to anyone in her whole life - except maybe people at the Ashram.

Being a teen is hard enough as it is - but being one who has been plucked from a familiar, safe environment has to be even harder... I'm not surprised by her behavior.

Exactly! Eden has trust/connection issues and the wall will have to be broken down before she can become close to anybody. As far as her actions, teens are teens are teens. The Amish community is the most secluded religious sector around-they don't even have electric. However, when those teens come to the city, they are the wildest of the bunch. Eden is still a typical teenager.
