Writers drop stuff like that to leave a story line for the future, which viewers have picked up on, and that is why they don't "drop it."

No I don't agree with you. We all know that Cane did not sleep with Chloe. The only possible explaination for his DNA not to be ruled out is if a sibling of Canes' was to have fathered Chloe's baby, hence Billy Abbott Jill's other son.

The phone call everyone is talking about is that after the patternity test with Jill or with Chloe??

Here's a thought. Cane could be Phillip Chancellor's son but not Jill's son.

Two DNA test were done, as I remember Amber was also deeply involved and disappointed with the first results and also wanted a 2nd test done....

Billy is Jill's son with John. So....... Jack could be the uncle/father.

Why can't Cane be both Jill and Phillip Chancellors's son? Why all the intrigue. I haven't read spoilers anywhere that even hints that he is not. I have read something about Katherine having questions about Jill being her daughter, but that would have absolutely no bearing on Cane's paternity. Jill is both Cane and Billy's mother. What I would be more interested in is who is the young man Jill raised as her son?

I want to know who that other Phillip was too!

And just a heads up.... I know that people are talking about spoilers that have turned out to be dropped.....I just want to remind you all that this isn't a spoiler thread. No one has crossed the spoiler line, I just wanted to give a heads up because I know that it is so easy to do.

I believe Cane is Jill's son. He has not done anything since coming to town to indicate he was after anything except finding his family. He did not find Jill, Jill found him. If he was only after money he would have gotten it already and skipped town. Also, he seems genuine when he talks about growing up without parents. This is the reason we are supposed to buy that a grown man would marry a woman just because she is supposedly having his baby. He doesn't want his child growing up like him. The story may have originally been for him to turn out not to be her son but I think his character has a large fan base so it changed. I also think this is why we have Adam as a villian.

Cane is too whiny to be a Chancelor. Chloe rules, but I can't believe that Ester is her mom. Chloe has been on the show for a year and the only place to get coffee in town is Crimson Light's but she never ran into Ester? Ester needs to get rid of the uniform.

God forbid that Brock is the father of Chole's child.

I don't know why Cain would marry Chole. And, I can't believe Lilly suggested it. With Lilly and Cain loosing a baby so recently, makes me think something else is coming our way. Not sure what, but I'm sure it will be a twist we are not expecting.
