I find it funny how so much of the show is centered around the fashion industry, and we are supposed to pretend that there are no homosexuals in town. Why shouldn't Noah be gay. As the parent of a gay teenager I'm curious to see how Nick, Sharon, Phyllis and Jack deal with it. |

That would be so juicy!  Where is this thread going...Geez someone threw Noah a beer and now he "may" be an alcohlic, or gay. Where did the gay part come in, he didn't drop the beer, he caught it with a firm hand

I think we will see typical teenage angst, but I hope he will basically be a good kid, reaching toward independance as a lot of teens do, without over the top rebellion. |

I don't think it was meant to come off rude or to hurt anyones feelings. I'm just as curious as the next person to see what the writers have planned. I personally have nothing against alcoholics or homosexuals, my teenaged son is gay, and he is also the star player on his highschools basketball team, so I don't think his sexual orientation has impaired his ability to catch a ball...or a beer. Whatever the case may be, I hope the storyline is good, whichever way they decide to write it.

since sarcasm is lost on some of you people, i'm going to be explicit: it's just silly to refuse to have a gay character/storyline in a soap opera when on the other hand, the genre in general is showing lots of violence, cheating, crimes, ppl getting away with murder, incest (Jill and Brock, even though they didn't do the nasty while they were married) etc. |

They would end up blaming each other for it.They could barely handle the fallout of Nick and Phyllis' affair and later marriage. I still cannot understand why the show felt it was necessary to age him this fast. There are no other teens on the show,everyone in the younger set is now in their early 20's so I am curious as to where Noah is going to fit in.

Good point. Unless they plan on featuring Ben and the never-before-seen "Sam", poor Noah really only has Daniel to hang with. I think Noah going through the usual teenage stuff - peer pressure, drinking, parties, girls, grades, etc. will be enough drama for NuNoah for now. The gay rumours about Noah have been going on for a long, long time on some message boards even when Hunter Allan played the role. |

As a Black woman, ITA, Wishbone! Discrimination is discrimation, and when people (not directed to any posters, guys) do it, it is an affront to the human race, not just one group or another. I don't always like the way people portray minorities, so I can definitely understand your angst. Homosexual people are a part of society, and if the soaps really want to represent the reality, they cannot rightfully disinclude them. I know it is hard to accept new things, but we can't close our eyes to everything that we don't agree with. The soaps are starting to reflect just how skewed society is becoming. Why can't Noah just be human, and like or drink whatever he damn well pleases! I'm so glad this thread came up and some certain comments about a gay character...wasnt Moonraker going on and on how folks wouldnt mind a gay character on a soap LMAO....where is he now....

Whatever Noah will be involved with in the near future he will be the catalyst that brings Nick and Sharon back together in the future,and there is NOTHING Phyllis can do about it either! |
