I really don't see why it would be such a big deal if Noah turned out to be gay. And I don't see how they could have already established Noah as heterosexual. I mean last we saw him he was hardly old enough to be dating, let alone showing any sexual interest in anyone, male or female. And I think Noah being gay would bring a lot more turmoil and drama than yet another drunk storyline. I really don't feel like seeing any more drunks on this show. And really let's face it, gay people actually do exist, and Y&R is the most realistic soap on tv, so I don't mind. JMO, please don't bash me. |

That would be so juicy! My guess is that Noah was trying out drinking because he's trying to be a "guy's guy" like the dudes he was hanging out with to cover up his feelings of being gay. Maybe the alcohol is to ease the angst of being confused and possibly rejected over his sexuality. |

O.K. writers get with it. Let Noah grow up as a normal person. What in the world were they thinking when they decided to make hime 15. He was 12 when he went to camp and that was for 8 weeks. Pretty soon he will be older than Nick and Sharon. |

wishbone, try not to take this personally, i know it may be hard, narrow minded is just that( i am 57, white, married 36 years) any way, i think noah is just a normal 15 year old boy, trying to grow up |

As a Black woman, ITA, Wishbone! Discrimination is discrimation, and when people (not directed to any posters, guys) do it, it is an affront to the human race, not just one group or another. I don't always like the way people portray minorities, so I can definitely understand your angst. Homosexual people are a part of society, and if the soaps really want to represent the reality, they cannot rightfully disinclude them. I know it is hard to accept new things, but we can't close our eyes to everything that we don't agree with. The soaps are starting to reflect just how skewed society is becoming. Why can't Noah just be human, and like or drink whatever he damn well pleases! |

Right before camp mom's totally ranting about Getting Gloria out cause her 12 year old is uncomfortable with her there after what she did to Fisher!! Then a week later he's at camp. Then a month later he's freaking 15!! So there's another S/L I will be using the f fwd button for. |

What I am attempting to put across is that a gay character introduced into the soap would be more readily accepted by the viewing audience if it was a newly introduced character rather than one that is already established as a potential hot, young,, girl chasing, Victor Newman descendant. |
