Naw, nothing's a lost cause, per se. Some like Adam, some don't. It's the same for every other character on the show.

I dont' see it that way either..same goes when folks say something about adam ....and then posters talk about how good he is...cuts both ways. all of us will see how the adam s/l goes....which way it can go is the fun part of debating....he aint no kin of ours

That's for sure! Adam will probably be around for a long time to come, so there's plenty of time to see where his character goes in the Newman Madhouse. Time will tell.

Adams character fan base is no different than the shicks,phicks,phacks and all the rest- some like, and can give the benefit of the doubt and some expect the worst and don't waver from their views-

I agree he should just go away.I stand him he thinks that he knows everything.

It didn't have to be this way with Adam. He came into a rich and powerful family and he thought he was going to steam roll all over everybody. It all takes time to meld in with a family you never knew you had. What did Adam expect for Pete's sake. Instead of charging in and trying to take over something he had no business or knowledge of, he should have been willing to learn the business like Neil did and good things do come to people who wait. It's like you can't be president of a company by starting out at the top. Well, maybe some people think they can. But to be a head of a business you need to learn it inside and out, and that certainly hasn't happened with Adam. I'm really starting not to like him and what they're turning him into. He was giving this sob story about his childhood. Yes, it was tough, but that was his mother's choice. He can't blame Victor or his family for that and that's exactly what I think he's doing. Yes, he didn't have an easy childhood but he had Cliff as a stepfather. I have never known my real mother. My father divorced her when I was a year old way back in 1949, when I was a real little girl. He refused to tell me anything about her. Didn't see the need. Whatever she may have been, he took that right away from me. I had a stepmother who hated my gutts all my life. I hated her for the way she treated me as a c hild. I lived through that, I dealt with that. It's water under the bridge. Though you may ever forget stuff like that, you move on with your life and be happy. Nothing you can do about it. Still wished I had a mother though that I could have bonded with, but my father took that away from me. I moved on with my life, married, had 3 children, and now have 4 grandchildren and I didn't let my childhood stop me from having a normal life. I have a very good job and am satisfied with my life. Feeling sorry for yourself, like I think the character Adam is doing, gets you nowhere in life. Nobody can help you but you yourself. So Adam, wake up and fly right. Though this is only a soap, Adam - you don't need to be the creep that you've turned into. You can be a better person.

I don't think Adam is feeling sorry for himself at all. I think he just has a real hunger to be in charge at the top of the heap at Newman. Yes, he wants to be the top dog in Victor's eyes too. It's a combination of desire to be in charge and to be loved the most by Victor that drives Adam. JMO.

But we still have not answered the question as to why he will be be hurt, shocked and disappointed when Victor returns.

Adam's not mad so it's couldn't be all that bad........yep Vikki got her job back.

Also, I would love to read the article myself ones interpretation does not necessarily mean that is how it is.........we've been down this road before.

And you are right - hurt, shocked and disappointed, but not angry. What does that imply? Maybe Victor is grateful to the brats for stepping up and showing their concern, instead of being angry with them like Adam thought he would be?

I was starting to think that maybe the the article was misinterpretted.

Maybe Adam finds out Victor is dead hence the "shocked"

Then another copy of the will resurfaces where Victor made changes putting back his kids in the Will seeing that he did find out that Jack was behind the article.

Hence Adam "hurt and dissapointed" cause I know he wants to be in charge. Given the fact that Vikki defected and he probably doesn't believe any of the siblings should be entitled to work at Newman giving the behaviour and treatment of Victor during his marriage.

Anyway, this is sibling rivalry at it's best!

I don't remember word for word but not long ago Adam mentioned the will once again in front of Michael and he gave out a clue to Adam that he will be amazed that the will isn't much about him neither. I did read that victor will be thought to be dead and the kids will fight over the will issue.
