Adam has known is father for 6 months, and that is all he has seen of him. What he saw was a very hardcore businessman who was more dedicated to his company and profits than his own family, aside from Sabrina.

Adam got nailed on one deal before and Victor let him have it.

So what was Adam supposed to do? He tried to step up and do what he thinks his father would want him to do as far as the business end of things. He remembers Victor saying to him that he would always be Victor Newman Junior to him. So he even reclaimed his full name, probably because he wanted to step up and make Victor proud.

Having Heather at the house is probably not a good thing, but maybe Adam felt it would be OK because of the Press Conference she gave indicating that it was David Chow who killed him and tried to frame both Jack AND Victor, and he also killed Skye.

Maybe he figured that Victor would not be as angry given that Heather was duped by the frame-up.

Regardless, What Victoria has been doing is in my way of thinking, unforgiveable. Conspiring to take control of the company, going against Victors own wishes to rename the product line, and going against Victors decision that he wanted Adam to live at the ranch with him.

She sabotages the work that Adam has been trying to do - work that he probably thought Victor would expect of him - and she kicks him out of the ranch.

What sort of makes me angry is that Neil is backing Victoria on the name change back to Beauty of Nature. He KNOWS that Victor gave that line to Adam to run and approved of the name change, yet he lets his frustration with Adam build to the point where he violates Victor Sr's trust? Man, not only did Neil pansy-out and not step up and take control as Victor may have wanted, but now he's undoing things that Victor Sr specifically put in motion.

Man, I don't get it. If Victor really does come back and put the smack down on Adam (Victor Jr) and treat Victoria and Neil like royalty, I'm going to stop watching the show for at least a few months, maybe longer.

I was very, very geeked about the new storyline with Victor and Adam and when Hope came back. I throught it was going to be a fantastic find for Victor. Hope makes them promise to get to know each other, and it turns out that Adam really is a chip off the old block. He has a prestigeous degree, is very focused on business and has a good track-record behind him in terms of employment.

Adam could have / should have become the son that Victor always wanted, the son that Nick could never and would never be, and I just cannot phathom why Victor would come back and treat Victoria, Neil and Nick with warmth and affection and leave Adam out in the cold.

All that would do is prove to me how lame these writers can get. Even when Nick was found to be alive, Victor still blamed him for contacting the feds and reporting malfeasance on Victors part. Victor FIRED the boy. Victor blamed Victoria heavily for shunning Sabrina the way she did. He said this was all unforgiveable.

So if he comes back and is all nice to Nikki, Victoria, Nick and makes Adam hit the bricks, to me, that means the show is NOT being true to its roots. All that anger and hatred Victor had for his other children and his Ex Wife suddenly goes away? The one child who has been loyal to him and tried to step up, who also lost someone very special to him by the same Mob tie-ins, who tried to make Victor proud by taking his full name and run the company in a way he thought his father would want him to, and the writers decide he is the one to be pushed aside?

Man, that would just totally suck and be very unfair, imo.

Very well said Dude...thatz pretty much everything ive said & than some..except i broke it down in a buncha smaller posts LOLOLOL...i so agree tho, if the writers go in that direction it will be a shame..and i may have to stop watching...i just have a hard time believing that Vic would even accept what those 3 (Neil, Nick & Victoria) have done....not just with kicking Adam off the Ranch..but the things they changed that they know dam well Vic would never approve of.......

The way I read this one, Adam will be hurt, shocked and disappointed when Victor returns because he finally gained control of NE over Vicki. An ambitious guy like him would have to adjust knowing he will have to relinquish the reign back to Victor after tasting all that power.
