The Young and the Restless - MESSAGE BOARDS

I have liked the character Victor Newman since the beginning; and admire Eric Braden, he is so handsome and has a lot of talent. However, the way the writers have been writing the s/ls of late, I am losing respect for Victor ( not for Mr. Braden) he has more talent than to keep repeating,"You got that!" and his other short rude remarks.
Victor has always loved Nikki and his children and now it is as though he HATES all of his family and has turned his back on them for a much younger woman and has become vicious in so many ways, more than abusive and rude!
GGGRRRRRRRRRRRR TO THE WRITER!

It just seems like even though Victor's children are adults, why does he want to drive away the 3 eldest? He hopes Nick's magazine fails, then bought the building which housed the mag...all for control! He acted quite uncouth to Victoria during Reed's christening, bringing Sabrina, which she asked him not to do and proclaiming the event happening on his "property." Again, displaying his control freak nature! Now, Adam, a son who gave him a chance out of respect for a dying Hope and because he wants to get closer to his dad, gets the smackdown of all smackdowns, with Victor wanting to "break" him!

Those loud, harsh threats towards his children are not fun to watch. He's a terrible divo for a daddy!

(This is NOT a diss toward Eric Braeden, a magnificent actor who commands attention!)

Adam had no clue what living in Victors home would be like-the only reference he had was of living at home with his mom...two totally different worlds.....I can see that adam now gets it..there was nothing sinister in his actions-he figured since victor would be gone it would be ok,that was a mistake- he knows better now- and I really hope he moves out..b/c he is just a guest. He must bend to every wish of the tyrant who holds the deed -MOVE ADAM....MOVE....

Victor---hands down. He treats Victoria and Nick like they are not his children. He is a rude businessman. If Victor had a difficult life without parents---you would think he would be a better parent.

That's true! when is the last time Paul has seen his son? Does he even talk about him? Is he going to have the same type of relationship with his son that he had with Heather? Yes, they are talking, now, but look how long it took.
And Jack? yes he has his son in Korea (Kemo). When's the last time they spoke?

Victor is the worst dad the way he plays against with each of his kids. One day Adam going to tell him to go to hell the just like Nick and victoria has.

Yes-yes-yes. Victor is only for himself. His children mean nothing to him---only fooling himself.
