The Young and the Restless - MESSAGE BOARDS

I realize this is a soap however what in the name of original sin is happening with storylines and plots. This is utterly nonsense as has been the last year or so. Phyllis has taken the place of Sharon, why? Phyllis has taken over the story and plots, why? Gloria has a no end storyline that needs to be fixed. The Newmans family, what family it was, has been destroyed. How do you fall in love like Victor, Nikki, any and all within two weeks. Please give me some sanity here. I think I just might go back to Stella Dallas, made a lot more sense.

Gloria is the most boring story line Y&R ever created IMO

That's what they get when they allow one dictator to fire some of the best and most seasoned writers and producers in Day Time, take over and hire her own inexperienced underlings; you get years of damage that can't be easily undone.

The writing has been deplorable for almost 3 years and, with the exception of a few trade-mark Y&R touches, it hasn't gotten much better (yet?) in terms of believeable s/ls and plots. It's still pretty bad.

As much as I hated Gloria at first, as much as I enjoyed her now. I'm probably the only person feeling that way here, but I really like all the schemes, most of them dumb, and drama in her life and how she reacts to it. JC is doing an absolutely fantastic job portraying that character. And the facials expression are great, especially with her eyes.

I'm not crazy about the writers myself. I totally hated the entire Clear Springs and Senate stuff. The way supposedly powerful business persons can make so many dumb decisions and mistakes are absurd.

Well a lot of us are still waiting to see it. I would say, aside from Jack and John the Ghost, the past year and a half has been dominated by Glohag and her Criminal Crew and The Rash...time to move on.

It's so refreshing, yet rare, to see several shows without the red-haired hags hogging the show. No wonder I FF/flick the channel more now than I can remember ever doing in the past. Thank goodness for Adam or I swear I'd be watching 10 minutes of the show on average...

in Hollywood, I agree about the Gloria part that role is getting old, I mean get her for that cream or just let her
go that is not going any where. Bring back Dru she would put some Spark into the Soap, all I know it needs help,
hopeful gets fixed and fast, cause right now it a little boring,there is no passioning in the acting right now,something is amiss.

I concur!!!!!!!!!!!! This soap has become the most boring story that ever was. It doesn't make any sense at all..
