Quote Lizzylew: Quote Uggerly: Quote Lizzylew: Hi all you young-uns! I just turned 66 and the irony of it is, I don't feel old and don't want to be old. So I hang out with young people (hope you don't mind). My goodness Lizzylew!! Sounds to me, like you have had a less than boring life!!! I'm really proud of you! I am going to turn 66, in July, and I am pooped most days. But, I feel young and try to keep up, as best I can! I was a Dance Teacher, for a long time, and a weight trainer too! And, then I worked as a property Manager, for a while with my hubby! We had a lot of fun working together. Started as a bartender. That's where I met him. He was drinking and throwing darts, in a competitive league, and I was working!!!!!!!! HaHa!...Oh, Hubby and I love Boston Legal, and I watch Brothers and sisters! We also have more in common! I have 3 kids and 5 steps!! And, 16 Grandkids total! Plus I've survived many surgeries, Cancer and Cardiomyopathy.Long long story! Good morning, Uggerly, Wow! We are vintage! HEy you guys! Both my parents are in their 60's and I never think of them as Vintage. However, you want to hear ironic? My parents have been divorced for almost 33 years and I have a wonderfull step_mother. The ironic bit is at the begining of last week I found out my mother has an abnormality in her breast and is waiting results on that ( she already survived ovarion cancer 10 years ago) then on Friday I learned my dad is being tested for colon cancer in a couple weeks. It wqas a crazy week. I am praying for the best in both cases but it has been one of lifes reminders to cherish every moment and treat your self and others well. I have been reading through and there is always a strange comfort in knowing other people surrive tough times too. Thanks for sharing. You never know how your words can give another comfort and strength. |

On the funny side of this story is that my second husband and I have been married 37 years and my step children are wonderful. And, oh yes, my husband's ex is my best friend! I think we initially supported each other for the kids involved and it evolved from there. |

That is very funny because my mother and step mother ( after years of silly bickering) are now best friends. It sure makes my life a LOT easier and brings joy to everyone. |
