Well...it was more that a few minutes, more like a few hours. We ended up ordering out for supper, and by the time I got to the nursing home to see mom, they had locked the doors for the night. I had to ring the bell to get in. Now it's time that I should be thinking about going to bed, but I still have things to do, plus I'm not really sleepy now. But, I think I'll try to get the last load of clothes done and go to bed anyway. Maybe I'll sleep after all. Do you ever get a minute to relax and just relax MessyCook? |

Hi HotPink......I am doing better, thanks to all of you!!....Cin is doing ok- as long as she is with us she is secure- Mike said she had a busy time at the airport and she had a nice time at the beach too-Lamar's surgeon who did his surgery May 07 called to tell us he was sorry,I thought that was so nice of him-he reminded us that we were so fortunate to have had the time with him that we did.......he said it was extra time and all Lamar's doing- he said that little guy should not have made it through surgery-much less survive a year and a half after wards-but he was a little fighter and so wanted to live. He had told us that once before, but it is nice to have him call and say it again-we are feeling very blessed have had all this extra time with that little man--we have our moments-but that is normal we just need to go through the process.... gommie - Glad Cin had a good time at the airport with Mike. And the beach, well I think there's something magical about it because it always seems to soothe my soul when I'm there! It was really nice that Lamar's surgeon called you. He is absolutely right about Lamar being a fighter and wanting to stay with you for as long as he possibly could. He was a very special little guy! By the way, if you get kind of angry and decide to throw something, make sure it isn't a two pound bag of M&M's. It takes forever to find them all! I'm glad you're doing a little better, my friend! LOL HotPink........I'll remember that for sure--I have a tendency to what to make physical contact-thus I bang the walls..); Yep he was my little sweetheart- god love him ..its going to take a while to get used to not having him in our lives.... I thought it was very nice of the surgeon to call too...got no decent doctors for me,but I'll for sure tell you-I found the best for my kids........... gommie - Sounds like you and my sons would get along great - they like to bang on the walls too! I know it will take time, but it will get easier, and you will always have your wonderful memories of your precious little guy! I know what you mean about getting a decent people doctor. My knee surgeon sure disappointed me. I know there's the saying, "Pets are people, too," but it seems pets are better than people in most cases because they bring out the best in people (well, at least most people). I don't make holes....I just hit at times like this -it seems to help..for whatever reason..at least for a minute or two..I am sorry your knee surgeon disappointed you-that is why I work over time trying to stay away from their services....You still have appt for the 8th? gommie - Glad you don't make holes in the walls like my sons do!  After the experience I've had with my surgeon, I can understand how you feel! Yes, I'm keeping the appointment on Sept 8, and I hope my new doctor will be able to help me!

But I am going to keep my appointment with the new doctor on Sept 8 and hopefully he'll find out what is wrong and actually do something about it! Keep your fingers crossed! |
