Quote bobbiejean: That really is wonderful... well, I read your last posts, so I know you have gone to bed, re early rising. Unfortunately (if one looks at it that way) I have to pick my hubby up at the airport at 11:15, 3 and a half hours yet to go, and I can hardly keep my eyes open right now. I will be fighting driving with them wanting to shut. |

Quote gommie: I'm sorry guys, I thought I sent you emails...my little man is gone--it has been a treacherous morning and our hearts are breaking over the loss of that sweet little boy- we miss him so much -- the house is never quite the same again after a loss like this- the only thing that keeps me sane is knowing that it was Lamar's decision to go- he was tired and decided he didn't want to go on any longer- I will miss him and love him all the days of my life...thank you all for all the love and support and genuine caring......xoxxoxooxoxox Gommie, I am sooooo sorry to hear about Lamar. My heart breaks for you as I remember that feeling of loss and sadness. Words will never make up for the sadness you feel right now, but you and Lamar are both in my thoughts and prayers. |

Quote Lilamoor: Lilamoor, you be safe now. Eat a big, fat, chocolate candy bar - before you leave, that should revive you a bit and keep you awake. And, it's a good excuse just to eat a big, fat, chocolate candy bar!!

Quote Sundevil98: That is so nice of you to volunteer to help the elderly. They have the regular problems of daily life that the rest of the population does, but they have added burdens such as ill health, poor eyesite or hearing and slowed down energy levels. They really must have additional help with things, and I applaud you for your willingness to do that. It really takes the added pressures off of them.

Thanks Eppy, I'm really looking forward to it. I decided to do it when I learned first hand how much help these folks need. The people who work at the Alzheimer facility in PA are so good to my dad, but they are often short handed and always need more help. I decided that I want to "pay it forward" and help someone out here in AZ, so I signed up for social visits and to take some folks to the grocery store or out to lunch, etc. I can't wait to get started. |

Sundevil that is a very nice thing you doing there are alot of seniors that are homebound and cant get out on there own need help or just have someone take them out to get groceries or to take them out for lunch or just to the park just something to get them out of the house. |

Quote messy cook: bobbiejean, the work you do is very special. My mom is in a nursing home. I don't know what she'd do without the help of special people like you. Lilamoor, I'm glad you're finding the Autism seminar so interesting. I had some classes in that area as part of my training. This year is the first in 8 years that I haven't had at least one autistic student to work with. It's amazing how many forms it can take. Uggerly, How are you today? I hope you and your hubby are feeling well. Do you have any plans for the holiday weekend? I just plan on doing some chores around here. Hi MessyCook! I think it will be us and the boys, all 6 of them, but you never know, some more could come too, and I really don't know what to have, except for MaMa's chicken wings for the Grandson, who is 12 yrs. old.He absolutely loves chicken wings!!!All of the older ones do. And, hers are sooo good!!!! Have a wonderful and restful time, but I'll bet you are going to cook too!!!! |

Well, my friends, I wish you all a very sweet and cozy rest, with dreams that are angelic! And, to those of you who take such good care of our seniors and those with handicaps, and all of you in the "care business", I respect you so much for all you do!Please take care now. My son who is a Deputy Sheriff, is working all this week, at night, through the Dems convention. He is among ,about 20, who are with the F>B>I> and Swat teams, which doesn't make me feel any better,so pls. pray for him? because he is like you too. He takes care of people, and doesn't abuse his calling. Jon has wanted to be a cop since he could talk about it. So, I guess we all have a calling, but we don't always find it so young. |
