I like being able to chat with other posters as well and getting to know folks from other faraway places. I'm a little older than 40 (okay quite a few years older - my 23-year old son has always told me I'm as old as the dinosaurs, and his 27 year old brother agrees). My 23 year-old has an adorable 18-month old son (my first grandchild and the light of my life) and has a baby girl due in July (I'm looking forward to having my first girl to spoil). It's wonderful to be a grandmother: When I have him to myself, I can talk to him all the time without being interrupted, spoil him rotten, teach him something new and fun, then I can send him home with his parents and relax! Good luck bolin- hope it is good news  the best time of all with grandchildren is when 'the parents' are missing..that when the fun really begins-  You're absolutely right. We have the best time together! And, I can handle him when he's being naughty or just plain wants to have a fit by saying, "We don't do that" in my "I mean business" Grams' voice, and he stops it almost immediately. His parents haven't learned that trick yet! I discovered long ago-about the only time mine are naughty when they are with me is when their parents are around

I am very proud of every one. they are really great kids! Some have been a handful, but they are so sweet ,aren't they? I'm going to dinner, pretty soon, with most of them. One of my kids is out of town, so we won't get to see him and his family, but the rest will be there!!! I hope they have enough seats!!!! LOL...well, did they? Sounds like a lovely time(-: |

You're welcome Madelyn- we're not out of the woods yet-they may close it down tomorrow when they get back..I hope not- with the old chit chat thread- I found that getting to know each other -when we disagreed- we disagreed as friends, not enemies- and it made the disagreements a lot less hostile......

Yeah, I know....in the old days that is where they told us to go- but this so much more convenient and we are chatting with posters we know-over there it is a smorsgasboard - It seems to me they have become a lot more poster friendly here and more accommodating to us. I guess we'll find out tomorrow... |

I know Eppy, I have been there...spent about 3 weeks in those islands in the middle 70's when the only American tourists were Continental Airline Pilots...which Islands are they on? |
