Quote gommie: Quote HOT PINK: Quote gommie: Good morning everyone-- I'm expecting that baby to make her entrance tomorrow-the 18th MessyCook-lol you wore that little girl down yesterday-dog are pretty patient and know the difference between dealing with kids as opposed to adults...sounds like cookie knows when to head for her hiding spot- Tilo-hope your dad had a good night and has an even better day! mama, uggerly, lila and eppy, how are you ladies all feeling today? How is the weather up there Eppy-how about your weather mama and yours too uggerly- Nice day here- just the right temp...... We had an interesting night with Lamar last night- poor little guy-we have him and Cin sleeping in our room with us in case he should experience any distress-about 2:30 am we heard him crying, mewing is more like it- but we could not find him for the life of us-the sound was really weak to start with-I told hubby we need gps for him- well, we looked and looked and the more we looked for him the more he cried- We have a huge desk in our bedroom that weighs a ton I swear-and it is up against the bedroom wall-behind it was the only place left to look, but we hadn't b/c there was no way he could be back there-WRONG-somehow, we still don't know how, but he managed to get back there and got stuck-- we had to get those round movers that you use to move heavy furniture with to get to him-the back of the desk is one solid piece of wood from the top of the desk to the floor-so there is not the usual opening in back like you see on most desks.....he is so weak I can't imagine how he did that- Yesterday I added a little bit of Lamar's special food to Cinderella's turkey loaf that she gets and for the first time in 6 years she refused to eat- I told hubby she wants to try what Lamar is having..so I crumbled a little up in her dish-and she was good to go- so this morning I fixed his food and gave it to him, then fixed her food and gave hers to her -then left the kitchen- well, in just a few minutes she came looking for me, and it was obvious she had something on her mind and wanted me to follow her--she kept running towards the kitchen and would stop to make sure I was coming..so I told her you didn't eat did you? You want some more of what Lamar is having-sure enough she had not touched her food..so I crumbled up some of Lamars into her dish and that did the trick..she cracks me up-- gommie - Bless Lamar's little heart! Wonder how on earth he got behind that desk! He must have been looking for something! Hope he isn't too stressed by his little adventure last night! How is he feeling today? Guess Cin just wants to make sure Lamar isn't getting anything she isn't! It's amazing that she knew Lamar was getting something different! I have no idea........we are going to leave the desk out for awhile just in case- he's pretty much the same- he ate a little bit I keep thinking he'll eat enough to get some strength back-but I don't think it matters-I think it is the disease that makes him so weak--- Cin is pretty smart- when we first rescued her she loved to watch tv-she would watch anything too- the kids would come to visit and get onto her b/c she would stand in front of the tv while she was watching-I had lowered it to the bottom shelf for her- she was funny- I have her on video about 30 minutes worth uninterrupted watching Milo and Otis I think it was.... gommie - Well, I hope Lamar won't do that again tonight! Poor baby! I'm glad he isn't any worse for wear! I'm so glad he's eating, even if it is just a little. Cin and the TV! How cute! She has a really long attention span, it seems! I'm doing well... thanks so much for your concern Rquattro. I've been home for a month after a month in the hospital, and am actually happy to have some energy to play catch on some things that have been so neglected. Of course, if I don't stay off this board 24/7 I might as well kiss all my good intentions goodbye. Love ya, gal - have great one. Apple pie coming up in a month or so, after they ripen!!!

In my little doggie sitting business, I cared for an elderly Welch Terrier, she was so sweet, but alas, she deveoped seizures from time to time and it really affected her mind and she would just wonder aimlessly until she would get stuck in corners, didn't know where she was or what to do. She eventually couldn't control her functions and she became quite upset. When she messed herself all over, she had to be bathed all the time. The only time she became quiet (day or night) was when I put her on the bed and blew her dry with the hair dryer. She would fall asleep and sleep for hours. It is heart breaking to see this happen to them. I really pray for LaMar and that he resumes his appetite and feels more comfortable.

Gommie i'm so sorry about lamar i know it really hurts to see them that way,i know the one pet we had he had epilepsy seizures and we had to have him put down he attacked my hubby after coming out of a seizure,so a was a fraid of him after that because he was a big dog. Messy cook glad to see you feeling ok today,i bet that little girl can wear you out,i know ours do. You know the girls were right when they said your daughter should go to his commanding officer i know the millitary frowns on the does guys not supporting there families. my hubby is in all the veterans groups and they get all kind of information like that. Tilo glad to see your dad is feeling better, and i chasing the nurses thats always a good sign,i'm glad you got some rest last night or i hope you did anyway. Uggerly i hope you feeling alright and it's not to hot for you today, the weather here is in the upper 90s i stock my head out the door and come right back in i even enjoy setting on the deck because of the heat,o well we complain in the summer and do the same in the winter. Hi, mamabing15! My son did come take me shopping. I've been making my famous Barbecue Chicken Pizza for the past hour. It takes a little time to prepare, but it sure is worth it! Hopefully, the baby will come on Friday; we all have to keep our fingers crossed! |

I think that this heat is doing it, really. We just tire easily. I'm still on the Chemo therapy, by mouth. So, I guess it's just going to be a good day and a bad one,for a while longer. I still have Breast Cancer, after a mastectomy and chemo infusions, for 5 months. And, my heart condition and my lungs have been affected, but not as bad as they thought......The Roush's are doing o.k. too, considering their painful loss, and they appreciated all of my friend's sympathy and good wishes. Considering all the people you know-are these Roush's connected to the Roush Racing Team by chance.... You sound tired Ugg...you are as always in our prayers- hugg to uggs.. No Gommie, these Roush's aren't related, that I know of. They are just some great friends of mine, who recently lost their oldest son, to suicide. |

Oh Eppy-that just makes me cry -it is just so sad to see them that way -like little babies they don't understand what is happening to them- so heartbreaking-thanks for the good wishes for Lamar- we are hoping the same thing for him-our vet is back in Monday and we are going for a check up to see how much the disease has advanced..... |
