For Jack, Phyllis, Nick and now MJ - it's all about Sharon!!!  Yes, if anyone deserves real lasting happiness for a change, it's Sharon. She has been through the most unimaginable pain and disappointment over the past 3 years. Her emotional breakdown was just the final kicker for me. If they tore her down with no intention of building her back up, I'd be done with this show for a while. A character like Sharon's does NOT deserve the treatment in the writing she's been getting for the past 2 years. For that reason I am thrilled (and relieved I don't' have stop watching, for now at least) that Sharon is finally getting back her true and only love, after "turning the other cheek" time after time when she's been hurt. I love Sharon's character still because she is "good" and she tries to be a decent person and make the right choices for all involved, not just herself. Her unselfishness is just one of the things that makes me root for her so ardently. Sharon is and will always be #1 in my book!  So true!!!! Yes, she made bad choices, but who does'nt?? But when she makes bad decesion, she ALWAYS take responsibility for her action, and ALWAYS apologize if she hurt someone's feeling... She his a real woman, a real mom, a real lover, a real friend... And I'm glad we can see her more and more!!!! |

the character. I absolutely hated what they recently did to the Sharon I have grown to know and love. Sharon has always been the sweet one. She has never intended to hurt anyone, and she truly cares about others. I hope that tptb redeem her character in so many ways. Maybe she reacts to men the way that she does because she never truly recovered from rape by Matt Clark and because her father abandoned her and her mom. Then Matt left her thinking before he died that he raped her again. That always botherd me how Nikki treated Sharon after she was raped, but Ami was supported.

Sharon is one of my favorite characters and I am not very thrilled with the way the writers have taken her character. Let's hope that Nick doesn't break her heart any further and throw her down a deeper depression. Would love to have Drucella come back to the show---Sharon really needs a best girl friend now to lean on. |
