The Young and the Restless - MESSAGE BOARDS

I AM UPSET WITH THE WRITERS OF Y&R. IT SEEMS LIKE YOU HAVE TOO MAY PLOTS AND LIKE Y&R HAS LOST IT CLASS. THIS WAS THE ONE SOAP THAT WAS FULL OF CLASS AND NOW ITS JUST FULL OF TRASHY ISSUES AND UNCERTAINTY. IT SEEMS LIKE THEY WILL START ONE PLOT AND JUMP TO ANOTHER WITHOUT FINALIZING THE FIRST ONE. THESE ARE THE VEIWS OF MYSELF AND LOT OF OTHER Y&R VIEWER I SOCIALIZE WITH. IT SEEMS LIKE, EVER SINCE WILLIAM BELL DIED, THIS SHOW HAS GONE TO THE DOGS. I AM TRYING TO STAY LOYAL TO THE SHOW, BUT I MUST BE HONEST, I AM NOT FINDING IT INTERESTING ANYMORE. THERE WAS A TIME WHEN I WOULD NOT MISS AN EPISODE AND NOW ITS LIKE I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE SHOW THE WAY I USE TO. IT HAS LOST ITS CLASS AND THE VETERANS ARE NOT GETTING THEIR PROPS. THEY ARE BEING FORCE TO TAKE ON ROLLS THAT ARE NOT EVEN IN THEIR CHARACTER. IT IS SAD TO SAY, BUT I DO NOT THINK I WILL BE A Y&R VIEWER MUCH LONGER.

I agree, I haven't watched in a while, I just read the daily updates.

I think the show's fine.

girl i feel it i feel it i feel it. i stopped recording about 3 months ago and i have not really watched since. sometimes i may watch about 5 minutes or so on soapnet but it makes me sick to watch for that little time. gloria and her rude disfuctional family has taken over. no one has any morals or values they just sleep around all the time with everyone. no one has any privacy, there are camera everywhere for people to spy on you. everyone is a criminal doing illegal things and everyone is blacmailing everyone. no one is worthy of anything but the great victor newman. he has to take everything from everyone. and the new attitude that mrs. newman has i could slap her. it's sickening.

A great number of viewers are unhappy with the s/l s and what the writers are doing in the name of "writing for the younger set". Now the "younger set is unhappy with the writers too. We should all send them a message to straighten out the s/ls and make sense of the show.
I realize this is Summer and vacations are taken, but why mess up a really good show because of some writer's quirks?
hang in there, D.V., maybe LML will quit.

I love Y&R...I can't wait everyday to see what is going to happen. I even make my appointments around the show time. I was a regular watcher of Guiding Light, but have not watched for a long time, if you think Y&R has gone down hill, check out some of the other soaps. Love Young and the Restless!

i understand. i went for about about a week and didn't watch. i am upset about what they are to phyllis and nick.they are my favorite couple.
