Gee, I thought I was the only one that felt that way. I do wish they would bring Olivia back tho - maybe to comfort Neil.

I totally agree. I don't miss TPWNIWNM at all - but I do miss Olivia.

Please enlighten me to what : TPWNIWNM means???

Dru brought the feel of real street life to the show, but at the same time she demonstrated, with some convincing skills, and well written lines of how a street hood, can make some positive changes in their life. Drucilla was able to seamlessly bridge those two very different worlds together. She brought some color to the series, "no pun intended", that is completely lost to Genoa City now. The points she made about the values of foster care is another important social value lost to the show. Poor and disadvantaged youth, of any color can relate to a charector such as Drucilla. Losing Dru may be losing a perfect opportunity to continually discourage some of America's youth watching Y&R, from heading their lives in the wrong direction. Dru showed them, that you can still be street, but with acquired learned behavior skills, you can still make a real postive mark in life. I wish the writers and execs would reconsider her roll and Victoria Rowell playing it, specifically.

The writers released her from her contract because SHE wanted to leave, not that they let her go.... So there isn't really anything for them to reconsider... I think they left the door open for her to return since Dru's body was never found...but she wanted to leave....

Your insight into this is inspiring for me. My sentiments exactly regarding VR's portrayal of Dru. I think it took an amazing amount of gumption for her to portray her as she did and also for TPTB to recognize it and keep it fresh and not a carbon-copy of other characters we see in daytime.
I work with kids who come through the foster care system everyday and I believe what you have posted to be true. Excellent insight and Great Post! Please keep posting!

The show has lost a certain edge without Dru. Hopefully, VR will return. She is a very good actress, and I feel an intregral part of Y&R!
