Since the death of Mr. Bell this show has lost any morality and most of the integrity it had. Phyllis is Nick's wife and she had every right to plan whatever type of service she wanted for HER husband, with or without ever discussing it with Vikki or Nikki. A fact that seemed to skate by the witches.

This all falls upon the shoulders of the writers of this show, not the actors. Phyllis definitely came out of that the better woman. She respected them and their grief enough to kowtow to their selfishness. Though I must say, I was hoping she would tell them both, I am Mrs. Nicholas Newman and I will plan my husband's services.

Whatever happened to, "The Newmans stick together no matter what. Nothing is more important than family." I guess a seat in the U.S. Senate is. (I hope Jack, in all his duplicitous glory, wins that Senate seat. At least he knows how to be remorseful. I despise Nikki!) Phyllis is going the way of Drucilla; Another strong woman made to look like a simpering weakling.

And I hope reports of a new daddy for Summer are greatly exaggerated. Nicholas and Phyllis are much more of a dynamic duo then he and man-eating Sharon could ever be.

MAN THIS SHOW IS BEING SLOPPILY WRITTEN LATELY.

I absolutely agree with you on every point - but uh Sharon's no "Man Eater" she's more the Man-needy type. Clearly there has been some problem with the writers of this show for quite some time now. Even kids fail to demonstrate respect for the adults - How many of us would have taken crap from Noah re: the move, the marriage and doing his homework - remember the "your not my mother scene"? The adults just sat there looking dumb without a correction or a comment. They've made strong characters weak and chemically dependent, Neil a drunk, Victor, Phyllis, Victoria mentally and emotionally deficient and weak; Jack is a cry-baby/theif; Daniel is a prono-freak; Amber is a sleaze. Maybe that's why so many of the best actors are leaving the show... It almost looks like a mass exodus: first Ashley,The John, then Dru, Now Nick??? Something is wrong with this picture.
