The Young and the Restless - MESSAGE BOARDS

I like the storyline with Daniel's obsession with porn. The Young and Restless has been known to tackle tough social issues of the day (although it has been a long time since they did) and this is one. Porn is very addictive as Daniel is finding out.

He also is finding out how different men and women view it. Women see it as sexual and take it personally when their husband/boyfriend is into it. I do hope YR deals with it intelligently and realistically and not make it quickly go away. I do hope they seek counseling and that Daniel gets into a 12 step program to deal with his addiction. Maybe Neil will be the one to help him getting into a program since he was in AA.

Let's remember that people in addiction deny their fault or actions and tend to blame others. We see that happening with Lily and Daniel. Lily feels she is not fulfilling Daniel's sexual need when porn has little to do with that. It has become Daniel's 'drug' of choice.
