I see that Philip is likely heading back to Australia to help Cane because there's a concern that those thugs who are after Cane might find him, making a connection with Philip.

Is anyone else, apart from me, sorry to see Philip go? I thought he had great chemistry with Nina and I really wanted the reconciliation to work with Chance (although Chance doesn't look like he could be Philip's son).

I really wanted Philip to explore the gay theme -- possibily find out that maybe Adam is really gay, too and that this is the reason for some of his problems -- why he's acting out against "the man" Victor?

Oh well, if Philip is leaving, I guess that's the way that it is. Why can't they get rid of Adam? Only in fiction could some person that is legally blind be at the right time and right place every single minute to do the awful things that he does and yet not one single other person in this entire city of Genoa City ever, ever sees Adam up to no good?

I can't stand this baby stealing storyline. And I cannot believe Ashley one bit. I used to like that character, now she can only be seen as an idiot in denial because I absolutely refuse to believe that a normal woman (regardless of everything) could believe that she gave birth -- when she didn't.

So, I want Philip to stay and I want Adam (and Ashley and Abbey) to get out of Genoa City !!

I liked the relationship that Phillip and Nina were forming (as friends of course). I also feel that he should have spent more time with his son. But I think the reason Phillip the character is leaving, has more to do with people being not so pleased with the portrayers portrayal of the character (I don't know for sure). As for the character of Phillip, I could see him wanting to return to Australia for more than one reason. Such as to help Cane, but also because I think he feels more comfortable there now.

Adam is not blind, he has Pigmentosa Retinitis (tunnel vision). Many people are confused by that so MM explained it and how he prepared for that role on the Soap Central board; for anybody who is interested. He's playing it perfectly. I think Michael Muhney is the best thing since sliced bread and I believe Y&R hit a gold mine when they snagged him.

I'm not a Phillip or Nina fan so I'll leave that one alone.

The one aspect that I am very disappointed with Y&R for as it regards Philip and Adam and their fake gay storylines. I mean, Y&R could have had real and good storylines with either Philip or Adam, or how about Rafe (where is he???) exploring a gay relationship. But of course Y&R copped out and in the worst of ways too!

In regards to Philip, I didn't watch twenty+ years ago so I don't remember it and I have little connection with the character and his history with Nina, etc.

In regards to Adam, I agree Michael Muhney is a very good actor (and very easy on the eyes, I might add ). He is doing a fantastic job with his character. BUT I just dislike the character of Adam so much for his evil deeds and what he has done/is doing to Sharon right now. WHY couldn't they have made Adam less evil (ie: not have him cause Ashley to miscarry or steal Sharon's baby?) I think then I might actually feel differently about him. If his revenge were focused on the people he is actually trying to get revenge against, instead of women, I might like him more.

I am glad Philip is leaving. Whenever I see the lackluster P3 on my screen, I wonder why tptb ruined Cane's relationship with Jill and Kay and got rid of the sibling rivalry between Billy and Cane for this. All of the players had great chemistry and there was so much story to be told before the rewrite. I am glad to see that Cane's relationships have been repaired and we still have the rivalry between Cane and Billy eventhough they are not blood. The return of P3 was unnecessary. When someone is raised from the dead it better be good, like Jesse Hubbard good or Sheila Carter good or James Steinbeck good!

In some ways I agree flygirl. And back in the day I loved me some James Steinbeck I think he died about 10 times.

When I found out TB was coming back as Phillip again I was so excited I thought I would pea in my pants!!! I couldn't believe he wasn't dead. I couldnt wait to see how it would play out. I have been slightly disappointed. I guess it was so much going on at the time to really appreciate what was going on. We had Chance & Nina's Story, Katherine/Marge, Jill/ Cane/Lily, Chloe/Billy/Mac not to mention Patty, Adam Sharon Nick Phyllis Ashley Victor and all this gloom beginning to brew. I hate he is leaving but maybe he should just be on recurring and come around 3-4 times a year. If Adam don't confess up about Faith I want HIM gone for GOOD!!!

clicquot I'll take Cane being related to Katherine and/or Victor. Both work for me. I can't wait to find out who he is. I think on many levels Phillip just didn't work. I don't think he got the fan response they wanted, after the initial reveal. That's why I think he's on his way back to Australia, perhaps for good. Truth be told tptb just dropped the ball with his and Cane s/l. I do think it had good potential.
