How can you let a patient leave the hospital without a doctor or nurse checking her physically. I am so sick of Adam and Ashley. This story line with Adam is dragging too too long. It makes no sense. I want to throw up when I see Ashley smiling at that baby.

Writers' cramp.

Please somebody explain why they let her leave at all, What she came in 1day or so, and left with a Stolen Baby, No care No Nothin, this has to be Men writing because a Woman should know better, Ironic isn't it?

Ashley's hospital stay is just plain screwy.
Wouldn't they want to check her stitches, or if none, if she tore?
Why hasn't anyone questioned why she isn't having her pads changed? You do bleed after giving birth for those that don't know (THE WRITERS), and since she had Abby, she should know you bleed.
Nothing about this adult story line makes any sense.
Why didn't anyone check her or question where the after birth was, and there were no towels or anything, I just can't wrap my brain around this story no way no how.
DID I JUST MISS SOMETHING? And that place did a heart transplant? I wouldn't trust that place to cut my toenails.

How many times do we have to go over this kind of stuff? Just because the writers didn't show us a scene with Ashley getting a checkup, doesn't mean it didn't happen.

We didn't get a scene of her eating that whole time. Does that mean it didn't happen?

We didn't get a scene of her going to the bathroom that entire time she was in the hospital. Does that mean it didn't happen?

A checkup isn't that important of a scene that we need to see it in the show. She has a hysterical pregnancy, so her body went through all the motions of pregnancy for her. The doctor sees some signs of pregnancy, looks at her health. Realize she's fine. Let's her go home. Done.

VictorAdamNewman are you a man? I'm going to assume you are because hysterical pregnancy or not, the body gives away some very definitive things afterwards that PROVE a woman gave birth. Ashley would have these things, a hysterical pregnancy would only prove symptoms up to the point she 'mentally gave birth' not anything after.



Then there's the matter of Sharon, she supposedly had a stillborn baby. Well usually in all cases the placenta is very important, most doctors want to check it for things. It tells alot about the pregnancy and the health of the baby and mother and in cases why a baby was stillborn. So are we to assume it was just disposed of? Wouldn't the hospital have asked for it? Dr. Taylor was not on staff. No hospital would have let a doctor who did not have authorization in their facility just do the things he did. He would have been held accountable.

Once again, Adam was able to have the doctor called away on an emergency just as he was getting ready to examine Ashley, as I recall.
But yes, I agree that the entire story line is ridiculous. Ashley would have automatically been a high risk pregnancy due to not only losing Robert years before, but because of her, ahem, advanced age. Sonograms every other week after 20 weeks, and not with General Practitioner Olivia whenever the mood strikes, but regular visitis with a high risk OB GYN. Sorry, been there, done that. To make story lines believable the writers should research the story lines first.
BTW, as far as the Sharon part of the story goes, if someone told me my baby had died, I most certainly would have demanded REPEATEDLY to see the baby.
Ridiculous.

On Thursday, I made a comment to the same question asked here..."Ashley needs some DRANO 'cause she's all stopped up!!! No afterbirth, No post-baby, 6-week menses, no lactation or breast-milk...no leaks anywhere!!?? She should be as ripe and rank as uncleaned chitterlings being cooked!!!! (you all from the south know what chitterlings are)".... Could it be that is why even if it is cold as Antartica outside, Ashley is always dressed for Spring and Summer? That Newman Ranch set must be on a refrigerated truck!!!

If they checked her they would know she never pushed out any baby..lets be realistic

Yes I agree but the writers are not realistic, they just write whatever to get the characters to the next story with not reasonable explanation to the viewer. Yes it is a soap opera but they could stay a little closer to reality.

Ashley was "examined" by Dr.Taylor . He magically arrived just as the other doctor was preparing to to the exam and explained that hecwas Ashley's doctor. Why has Sharon not seen her doctor to demand why he/she did not detect the severe defects that caused her daughter's death? Sharon got glowing reports from her doctor and ultrasounds showing her baby was healthy. The fact is we are watching a soap and must suspend disbelief . The problem I have is that this story is so sick and far fetched I just don't want to watch it.
