Quote ski lady: The latest thing is Phyllis cutting Adam no slack and Sharon getting all sucked in by the creep. It seems like Phyllis always comes out "winning" or at least ahead of Sharon. Sharon is such a nice person and for once, I'd like to see her come out ahead of Phyllis. Especially in this case, when Adam is so awful.

You said it. She always comes out smelling like a rose. Sharon gets the short end of the stick.
But I guess nice girls finish last. But even when Sharon does something wrong, it blows up in her face. Not Phyliss, she always blows it off with excuses and lies.

When Nick admitted that he slept with Sharon, Phyllis did NOT pick up her child and her pride and tell him to get lost. Phyllis begged him to stay and kept asking "What about ME? ( oh yeah and Summer ). She took him back after he came home with his tail between his legs. All it took for her to start giggling and hair twirling again, was a piece of jewellery.

That is not about survival. Phyllis is a survivor. This isn't the example. This example is about a woman who has a very sick child and her husband who has asked her to wipe the slate clean and accept him back to her as her husband.

You just described Phyllis as a door mat to Nick, and Phyllis accepts being used and allows Nick to do as he wants. Sharon was in much worse situation with Cassie and her daughter died, Nick cheated, he wanted his marriage, but Sharon divorced him and did not accept door mat position in her marriage. Sharon is the victim, but then she is turned survivor from her tragedies she faces. Phyllis is the victimizer and very much a door mat, JMHO.

Well put shick! Phyllis should have shut the door in his face and said,"See ya in court DUDE!" Even now, Nick is fuming about finding Adam at Sharon's. Does she call him on it? NO! She gives him "permission" to go over there to deal with it when that is the last thing SHE wants.

Both sharon and phyliss are nicks doormat sharon may have divorced him but she also took him back, both women are not strong enough to tell nick to hit the road, but nick is a grown man he choose to go back to phyliss not sharon and it was not out of guilt you do not have to be with someone to be there for your child.

Phyliss is a very strong and independent women she dose not need nick she just wants him for some reason.phyliss dosen't trust anyone its just her nature.

I also think sharon is a strong women she has been through alot of horrible things in her life and has picked up and moved on she is a very trusting women which dosen't make her weak just different, she will learn after adam not to trust so easily. IMO

Sharon did not stand to be used. Sharon relinquished wanting the abuse. Sharon was hurt by Nick, but she is no longer married to him Phyllis is. Phyllis was left by Nick and he reconciled briefly with Sharon and Sharon ushered him to be with his wife & daughter because Summer was ill. Therefore, Phyllis excused his behaviors and acted very much like she was in favor of what he did. If Phyllis is a strong independent woman, why are so many drawing upon examples that she is not. Sharon does not accept being Nick's door mat and kicks him to the curb. Phyllis does not, therefore that cancelles the notion that she is strong. Sharon gets hurt, she moves on and is a survivor. Phyllis makes herself get hurt by her own manipulations and being a victimizer, and she is a doormat. I would like to hear about how and what makes Phyllis strong and independent.

Sharon told nick to be there for phyliss and summer while his daughter was sick not to recommit to her nick choose to do that on his own sharon was not happy about that and would take nick back at any time if he wanted to same as phyliss, phyliss told nick he did not have to stay with her but he pushed the issue and wanted phyliss both women are weak when it comes to nick, that has nothing to do with phyliss being a smart and independent women she can take care of herself without a man she always has.

Sharon ushered Nick where to be and that was back with his wife and child regardless how she felt, also she did not tell him of paternity of their daughter so he could do just that. If Sharon were unhappy with Nick being with Phyllis/Summer, than Sharon would have happily told Nick of the daughter she was carrying and not forfeited Nick. Sharon is by herself as of now, without a man. Sharon never used any man and or get them by manipulations or out of her own self-indulgence, that is Phyllis who destroys marriages to those who were not on track, but still in love. Phyllis has never been in a relationship that was not an affair, by her own doing and or manipulations of those said men to keep them and accept being a doormat.

No matter how you put it it was wrong she had no right to deny nick his child,as for phyliss it was not her responsibility to look after nick and sharons marriage it was nick who cheated on his wife, not saying phyliss was right but nick wanted phyliss just as bad and he choose to step out on his wife.

I am not saying that nick didn't want to stay with sharon which if he loved her he should have thought about that before cheating on her when she needed him the most,I am saying sharon eventually forgave nick and had an affair with him to.

Both women are very weak when it comes to nick Phyliss fans see it one way and sharon fans see it another way I like both women and think they shouldn't allow any man to treat them the way nick does and everyone is blaming the women when it is very clearly the man (NICK) who is to blame.I dont see why anyone who like phyliss or sharon would want them to be with him.and it dosen't matter how long you have been with someone.

The difference is the death of their daughter Cassie caused a great strain to their marriage and Nick thought he induced unnecessary pain to Sharon, and he felt so guilty to not want to comfort her during their greif period. Nick turned to Phyllis and Sharon eventually turned to Brad after finding out about Nick's infidelity, but they still were in love. Nick was emotionally distraught over the loss of Cassie and he felt major guilt and had an affair with Phyllis, but was still in love with Sharon. Sharon had a reactinary affair out of being hurt by Nick, but still in love with Nick. Sharon wanted a divorce and he begged to stay married, and Sharon could not trust him, and they found out about Phyllis and Sharon proceeded in divorcing him but they were still in love. Nick had an affair with Sharon, but there was no child loss, and no emotional downfall to make him turn to his ex, but he jumped to the chance to reconcile because they were still in love with eachother. Phyllis acccepts his dirt, and won't let go.

Phyllis wanted to be with Nick and she had expressed that emphatically to Michael, and she manipulated Nick when she knew that Nick and Sharon were going through a bug trauma. Sharon divorced him regardless of him still being in love with her and she did not accept being Nick's doormat in any way shape or form, and definitely not out of manipulation.

Nick wanted to be with phyliss or it wouldn't have happened nick is very capable of makind his own decisions and he choose to be with her.Sharon divorced him as she should have but then had an affair with nick and got pregnant the same as phyliss did .

Nick wanted to still be married and Sharon was aware of his infidelity, and she wanted a divorce and Nick begged to stay married, Sharon did not automatically accept their marriage back to full capacity, because she felt great mistrust with him, and yet he still begged to stay married and was still in love; both Nick and Sharon they both found out about Phyllis' being pregnant and Sharon ushered their divorce regardless of how they both still felt.

There is no excuse for cheating on your wife,if nick felt guilty about cassie then why would he cause more pain for sharon by cheating on her and not even using protection causing the women he tried to keep a secret from his wife to get pregnant i'm sorry but i don't want that kind of love.

Nick wanted to check out the paternity of the child first before furthering in destroying his marriage to Sharon unnecessarily, since Sharon still did not trust him. Sharon pregnant, he did not care who the father was, he wanted to let Phyllis know, and was a great way to further destroy his marriage since Sharon did not have results to paternity of her baby at that time. Infidelity is infidelity but the situations for why Shick/Phick cheated are greatly different from eachother.

Phyliss does deserve him, because she wrecked a marraige to get him. She should have to live with him forever, knowing his heart is in another place. Always on the verge of leaving her for his true love. That is what she deserves.
She did it to Christine, lied..deceived..caused death..cheated..anything it took to get Danny. And all knowing he was not really the father.
She is a real prize for Nick.

I think that Nick is in love with Sharon, and he after being dumped by Sharon, decided to marry Phyllis for how she helped him forget (daughter's death, his marriage), Nick knew Sharon married Jack by rebound and so Nick waited until Sharon gave up on her marriage to Jack, and Nick found her letter expressing her love, and Nick would not let go of what he already knew. They made love. With Nick, he was emotionally gone after Cassie, and therefore he ended up hurting Sharon, but he was still in love with Sharon & wanted his marriage. Nick hurt Sharon, due to their daughter's death, and he hurt Phyllis because he had longing love for Sharon he had not gotten rid of when married to Phyllis. The situations are greatly different, I am seeing more and more, that because Sharon has pushed him away even their divorce, though them being still in love with eachother, Nick settled for Phyllis, since it was rebound from Sharon who pushed him away and vice versa for Sharon & Jack. Sharon admittedly stated that Jack she loves, but not in the same way she does Nick, who she is in love with and the love of her life. Nick, stated Sharon is the love of his life and he loves her differently, he is at home, and he loves her and never stopped. So, both Nick and Sharon are in love with eachother, and never stopped and are with people (Jack, Phyllis) because Sharon did not want to be with him..is my interpretation of this storyline.

Well speaking as a 'stalwart' Shick fan I'll say that I have never pardoned Nick for what he did to Sharon and I'll be honest, it irritates me to no end how some shick fans just because they want him w/Sharon will make excuses for him. I don't give a rats behind about his grief, he wasn't the only one who lost a child. Why do his feelings and his grief trump Sharon's? Why was what he was going through more important than Sharon's feelings? Because he is the one who let Cassie go out that night? Oh booo fricky hoo..that's the choices we as parents make. I sure don't see anywhere that Nick is trying to change when it comes to Sharon and imho he's yet to make up for the horrible mistreatment of her and his son Noah who was just a lttle boy at the time. As much as I would like to see Nick and Sharon eventually together, he's yet to do anything for me that shows he deserves Sharon. However I see that Sharon loves him, and so for her if it's Nick she wants than I support her and want her to ultimately have the man she has loved for most of her life.

Now on the matter of phyllis no she didn't single handedly destroy the shick marriage, but she sure did help it along huh? Texting all the time, arranging hotels, buying the little monkeys, coming to work in her bargain rack fredericks of hollywood wear and doing that whole come hither talk and eyelash batting she does. The woman was like a heat seeking missile and she didn't give a dang about a 'friend' sitting over their grieving the death of her child. The same child who had been in the car w/her son. That son that Sharon helped to set free. How did phyllis repay that woman? By sleeping w/her husband. That's my whole thing w/Phyllis, she did that. All by herself, if she had been a true woman, a sister, and fellow mother, she could have seen the situation and how much Sharon needed a friend, not for phyllis to help herself to her husband.

Then phyllis has the gall even 4 years later to act like she was entitled to it all and that she never did anything wrong and Sharon is the one who put misery on her. I just don't get that kind of reasoning. Sharon had never done a thing to this woman except extend kindness and hospitality. We can go back and forth on Sharon and Phyllis sins all day, but if we just focus on what got us here, it was that incident right there. The affair..Nick and Phyllis own it..and everything that we have come to up to now is a result of THEIR selfish behaviour.

Deliah, I am going by what was stated after Sharon found out about Nick's affair after their daughter's death, not making excuses just going by what the story being told out on screen. I have not negated the fact that Nick cheated, but I provided why he did not greive right, the situations and the story foretold why both turned to other people. Again infidelity is infidelity, people grieve differently, and Nick/Sharon did not grieve through the tragedy in the right way, but we are going by the story being told for why they did not, JMHO.
