He cheated on her multiple times with his ex-wife Sharon AND they recently had another child together that is pressumed dead. Phyllis is working hard to completely trust her husband and to continue to have faith in their marriage. 2. Adam has already tried to recruit Phyllis to join him in keeping Nick out of Sharon's business and it didn't work because Phyllis believes she and her husband are solid...again  3. Nick will never stop loving and protecting Sharon. It's just something he can't and won't do. If Adam continues to get closer to Sharon, this will bother Nick to the point where he will focus all of his attention to get Sharon away from Adam. At some point, Pyllis will get annoyed by how much this bothers Nick and her insecurities will resurface (you can see it in her face already but she keeps them subdued). Plus, Phyllis now works at NE so she'll be eavesdropping (as usual) and hearing about some possible plot that Adam may have planned. Hence, Phyllis as a wild card |

Going on what she does know of him, he was used by Jack to get to Victor. Now, Adam has "confessed" his mis-deeds...even his using Rafe and vows to Sharon that he wants a better relationship with his father and wants to rebuild his career at Newman and make his father proud and prove his worth to his siblings Nick & Victoria. Given Sharon has just gone thru absolute HELL and she herself is seeking another chance to get things right, they can relate. Adam is nothing but nice to Sharon and is being a friend. WE ALL know he's the devil but she has no idea of what he is capable of. Look at Ashley  He charmed her too and drove her crazy at the same time Look at Heather! She was in love with a man she knew was no good. And let's not forget Rafe  Do I really need to explain that one?The friendship, I can see but a romance..........  Maybe Adam is going to fall hard for Sharon and he will continue to try to keep Nick and Jack away from her (with the help of Phyllis and Ashley). I bet Sharon finds out about Adam all on her own and SHE will break...no...SMASH his heart to dust  That's my vision

Hi Demus - - I understand your reservations regarding how many of us perceive Phyllis but here's why I think she's a part of it: I really do like Phyllis because I have always loved the actress. When she does things that people just "hate", it really does not bother me because I always look at this as a "soap" and enjoy her acting, no matter what others may think of her. I also have always enjoyed Sharon and think SC is an amazing actress. So, at any rate, I really have no reservations per se as to how others perceive her - - just know now that she does get much attention because of the dislike many have for her. I definitely agree with you as to how you think she will play a part in this - - because your post was a positive one, whereas some posts that pop up in a thread, are definitely not adding to the gist of the topic. JMHO! Keep up the great posting! |

I don't want Phyllis any where near this s/l. Sharon is going to be dealing with Nick, Jack, and Adam. She does not need Phyllis all in her business. Also it looks likes to me that Phyllis doesn't want to be in her business. |

I don't think it's fair to call Sharon "stupid" for reaching out to someone for friendship. Even someone like Adam. She's finally pulling away from Nick after all these years, which is what pretty much all the Sharon bashers have wanted, and she just wants a friend to talk to. Who doesn't deserve to have a friend. The only terrible things Sharon knows that Adam has done, or even suspects him of are the things he's done in the past that TGVN himself has totally forgiven him for. Enough to give him power back in the company. Sharon also knows that Ashley trusted him enough to "deliver her child" so as far as Sharon knows, this is a guy who is in the same situation she is in...Someone who's made mistakes and appears to deserve another chance. Most trusting people would do the same thing. Once she finds out about what he did to her child, she will be furious and will tear him a new one just like everyone else. |

So far, Adam has not learned a thing from Sharon that he didn't already know about Nick, or Victor or that buisness that he can use to take over the company, nor has he shown any interest in Noah (even when he was living at the Ranch with him...which Nick had no problem with then...)so what the frick is so horrible about Sharon and Adam being friends? It hurts no one but Sharon. She is willing to take that risk and she is willing to deal with the consiquenses, so why on earth is it any of Nick's buisness or Jack's to save her, yet again?! It's because they cannot stand to not be her saviors. They can't just sit back and let her make her own mistakes?! Maybe that's how she can get strong again, so they should just back the eff off!! I am not a supporter of SHAM, by any means because he took her child, and in the end it is gonna hurt her, but she's not "stupid" for taking a chance. She's trying to move on with her life, and it's not like there are tons of people for her to be friends with right now. Most of them are talking behind her back about the things she's done. Adam is not because he's been there done that too. She is trusting, which is a wonderful quality to have. Unfortunatly it can bite you in the ass, but that is for her to worry about, not her ex husbands. And there are people in this world who fall for bisexuals/gays/transvestites/transgenders every day. Love is blind my friend! People on this soap, and in real life fall for murderers, theives, rapists, child abductors, and other characters of horrible means every day; why is a bisexual being called out as something so horrible to feel love for? They deserve it just as much as anyone else. And I think it's pretty crappy to take it away from the soap world and call those out who might have had some kind of relationship like that, or currently do. Besides, Adam is not bisexual, at least not in my opinion. The audiance darn well knows, and he has admitted to it himself that he only slept with Rafe to save himself. A bisexual is someone who enjoys sleeping both with men and women. I think it was pretty clear after Adam was done that he did not enjoy what he did LOL Noony6, Your post is absolutely amazing and I completely agree!! Now I understand why Nick and Jack should not be in Sharon's business because those two are the biggest hypocrites. But I am trying to find the good and them keeping SHAM apart is GOOD!!  Now I do not want them manipulating Sharon but it looks like to me they will be doing anything they can to keep SHAM apart!! So I say let the manipulations/schemes begin........

I just wanted to make sure you didn't think I was just bashing to be bashing (although I do tend to bash every now and then  )People should be able to like who they want to like and dislike who they want to like as long as we can respect one another's feelings and just debate without attacking eachother personally. It's easy to get all riled up and go full throttle on someone but why go there? I love to debate and view everyone's opinion. I may or may not agree but I appreciate the input as so many of us do

This is exactly what I've been saying about Sharon totally feeling where Adam is coming from. And I totally agree about her figuring it out on her own!! I hope and pray that Sharon will prove how much stronger she's gotten by figuring this out on her own! I doubt the writers will go with that, but I am giving it time to play out that way. If Jack and Nick would just give her time to be strong on her own, maybe she would do so...instead of them always running to her rescue and having her get use to that all over again! |

I'm just thinking of Adam and his manipulative ways. Can't see Phyllis just saying, "It's OK Nick...go talk to Sharon again about Adam..." too many times. She's going to get sick of that crap This one is all on NICK Love my girl Sharon and love to see Nick squirm because of her (as usual) BUT not feeling Adam at all! |

Totally agree. Sharon is a kind person who's capable of empathy and compassion for another person who she THINKS deserves another chance. That doesn't make her stupid in my book; it makes her human. She has very limited knowledge and exposure to Adam, unlike Jack, Nick, Phyllis, Michael, Victoria, Nikki, etc. So she hasn't gotten the same impression of him that they have. Of course he's manipulating her (even MM says this in a recent interview), but that's a reflection of who HE is, not Sharon, IMO. I just think the knowledge she does have on Adam - diarygate and the Rafe thing - should be enough for her character not want anything more than friendship from him, IF they are writing in character. But I forgot this is MAB's team, so staying true to character is out the window. |
