Since Katherine and Jill seem to have mended their relationship I think it would be neat if Murphy turned out to be Jill's dad. Murphy is really a great guy and would make a great dad to Jill. I think it would be great if they could be one happy family.

Honestly, I don't want Murphy to be Jill's father because she's capable of "fluid" relationships with people. Yes, she and Kay are getting along now, but the time will probably come when they're on the "outs" again...and Jill says some truly harsh, nasty thing! Ouch.

So, I don't want Murphy to be Jill's dad for two reasons. One, I want him to protect and defend Kay (to Jill) no matter what and a father-daughter relationship might interfere with that. Jill is capable of playing that card, should it exist, for all it's worth.

Secondly, I don't want Murphy in Jill's line of fire where he might actually give a darn (because they're parent-child). Jill was so nasty to Murphy when he befriended Kay and afterwards...she tried to make his humble circumstances into something that made him "unworthy". Thank heavens our lady Kay isn't so shallow.

So, because I adore Murphy with Kay, I just want him to stay her Knight and away from Jill's poison tounge (used when she feels threatened) JMHO

PS I'm always up for more Katherine and Murphy screen time!

I don't want Murphy to be Jill's father. I like having him as a-go-between for Kay and Jill.

I also like Jill and Murphy kind of being sparing partners. That would probably change if they were father and daughter.

;) I agree with "Muffin Top" and "Daisy Jane". Yall are right on the money! Murphey is a good referee between Ms. "C" and Jill. He is a very sweet man and added a descent/solid foundation to the Chancellor household. I think he is too smart and descent of a man to be fathering- children and be totally cluesess.
