I just thought of this. Jill wants Paul to investigate who Katherine's real daughter is. Paul wants Dr. Peterson to stay in town to help Patty. This is not a spoiler but the twist could be that Patty is really Katherine's daughter. Nikki is a good guess but I think Paul needs to stay away from anything that has to do with Nikki.

Not a chance because when she showed her drivers license it listed her year of birth as 1967, my birth year. She is 42 years old, not nearly old enough. She needs to be Jill's age.
