BTW, I think that you observation of the flowers was right on point. You can tell by all the posts that MANY, MANY people were wondering some of the same thoughts you were.

Well it was never revealed who they were from.He read the card but not the name on the ones that were sitting in the office when he first got there.He liked those because he smiled real big when he read the card.Later when the secretary brought in a bouquet and set them in front of him,he just glanced at the out side envelope and didn't open it and threw it down on the desk.He just looked disgusted,worried and preoccupied about some thing.He most definitely is upset about some thing or some one.
