His wife has left him, slept with his brother and the baby he thought was his and was determined to raise is dead. I'd say life itself is paying Jackie back nicely for his misdeeds. Somebody tell me please what has Victor lost. Yes, ANNIE ole smilin JACK did have his wife LEAVE him because he would NOT stop LYING to her and he was CONSUMED with the ABBOTT/NEWMAN FEUD and getting revenge. JACK was in the same position that TGVN was in concerning family in that JACK kept the feud alive all the while claiming to love both SHARON & NOAH(& he did love NOAH)but trying to put NOAH'S grandfather in jail with a counterfeit diary. Now TGVN was doing something very similiar because while he was with ASHLEY(& later married to her)he was continuing his part of the feud with JACK. These men BOTH were so consumed by REVENGE to the exclusion of EVERYTHING & EVERYONE else even their loved ones and they "both" LOST. JACK's marriage broke up(even though he knew ahead of time that his & SHARON's marriage was a rebound(on "both" their parts). as far as the baby he so desperately wanted, he didn't even go see,write or talk on the phone to the TWO KIDS he has, not even in dialogue do we hear about KEEMO or KYLE! Yep, JACK also lost his beautiful neice COLLEEN who chould have NEVER been dragged into their feud but she was by JACK when he became PUPPET MASTER and manipulated the by-laws of the NE BOARD of DIRECTORS. This caused ole VIC to then bring in MJ with her brand-new face & resume to "spy" on JACK'S business dealings in retailiation. Not making excuses for either one because they are BOTH GUILTY! Ole VIC lost too, he couldn't keep his marriage because of his REVENGE! Had he NOT been so CONSUMED with it he might have been able to figure out what was going on in his own house and made sure that ASHLEY was taken care of by a doctor that was a "trusted" family doctor specializing in high-risk pregnancies. VICTOR also lost his marriage and even though he doesn't know it his little baby. He also lost COLLEEN, she was his goddaughter. VIC & NIKKI felt a great sorrow for both NICK & PHYLLIS when poor little SUMMER was in the hospital and she is still recovering from her brain damage and might never be the same. Ole VIC is callous like JACK and on the surface it doesn't seem like he cares but he does especially for his family(like JACK) but they are CONSUMED with REVENGE and that is the greatest tragedy of all. COLLEEN was a very giving and generous person much like her mother and she would have wanted the FEUD to stop and TRACI was trying to "end" the feud for everyone's sake. JACK started it years ago and it seemed at first that TGVN finally ended it because JACK grudgingly agreed with TRACI that ole VIC should have COLLEEN's heart but then BILLY(in his pain)STRUCK back with his poison pen and JACK fanned the flame only for NICK to pour gasoline on the fire with the eviction of RS out of his building. Will the ABBOTT/NEWMAN feud "ever" end? Yeah, MAYBE! Will TGVN "ever" quit being a baby daddy? I do NOT know, which will come first????????????????????????????????????????LOL! |

As for Ashley, she's going to think she's getting over on Victor but in the long run she'll only be hurting herself. History has a tendency to repeat itself  THANK YOU, DEMUS & LADY! I do not think that TGVN was the ONLY one at fault and believe me I am NOT trying to downplay his role but he WASN'T the "only" one to blame in this whole GREEK TRAGEDY! I did a whole thread on why I thought that ole smilin JACK is really CLIFF BARNES, NIKKI is the long-suffering alcoholic(well-ex-alcoholic/pill-popper)beauty queen/stripper, and TGVN is ole JR. himself(well except for the SMIRK because PETER BERGMAN totally "stole" it from LARRY HAGMAN). Well except for TGVN is a self-made man and JR. reaped the benefits of his daddy's hard work kinda-like ole smilin JACK did. But their feud totally BARNES/EWING! JMO! LOL! Cliq he may not be all to blame for all but a lot of it falls on his sholders. His overgrown butt should of know better than to bring a sick woman to town, changed her beautiful face cause there was nothing wrong with it, as she said, pay her and then dismiss her like she was nothing and expect nothing bad to happen to others who got in her way. It just crazy that Victah would even go there with this sick woman knowing that she already shot Jack.....years ago.... Victah set Patty back sooooooo many years.... He should of left well enough alone....he got away with killing Walter....like the Mexican said....whatever happens in Mexico stays in Mexico.... But like I said....I'm not protecting the Newmans....they do bad all on their own....I'm just hoping one day their tower will crumble. I was just wondering why don't Victah go look for his other brothers.....I would love for the new man that comes into the picture to be his Brother and know all the ruthless things Victor did to build Newman........oh yes....that would be a rivalry... ITA, Excellent post! I just love when posters say but he isn't the only one at fault. As if because he had 4 or 5 other co-harts in crime, what he did ain't so bad. Well the saying two wrongs don't make a right fits perfectly. And it was only one person that paid to change the face of a crazy woman and set her lose on GC and even after he knew the havoc she reeked in GC even killing his beloved dog. Amen annyhall! He covered his butt clear to the end. No he didn't make Patty do all these things, but he didn't stop her either. She wasn't bothering the people of Genoa City until the Black Knight brought her to town. Like was said before it someone else's post "all roads lead to Victor." |

When she left town she moved to CHICAGO(I think to be near the other brother). Ole VIC found her of his private detective found her and there was NO REASON for him to suspect she was still having mental problems. Her own family did not know where she was and did not know she was still having mental problems. Evidently she was making progress with the good DOCTOR. She reported to TGVN and during the course of the dialogue between the two ole VIC revealed that he wanted her to "spy" on JACK. She was in place and doing her job until SHARON left ole smilin JACK and ole JACK went on the prowl much like he did back when PATTYCAKES was his pregnant wife, only this time she was the "dish" on the side and SHARON was the pregnant wife. PATTY thought she had a chance and became OBSESSED again because JACK wasn't HONEST with her. She became OBSESSED & DANGEROUS after JACK treated her so callously again all these years later. In her OBSESSION she abandoned ole VIC'S plans and became DANGEROUS doing "whatever" it took to get her "prize"(which was JACK). Oh, yeah ole VIC brought her back to town but it was also JACK who played a "key" role in PATTYCAKES OBSSESIVE behavior resulting in an inocent child's PB kiss & coma/brain damage and the events which culminated in poor COLLEEN's accidental death. Many other people had a hand in this whole tragedy BUT it was the MAIN TWO PLAYERS & their OBSESSION with their ABBOTT/NEWMAN FEUD & REVENGE, REVENGE, REVENGE, REVENGE above ALL else that resulted in this whole GREEK TRAGEDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

REVENGE is what did this and the two men's OBSESSION/COMPULSIVE desire for it. To me JACK & VICTOR are BOTH VILLIANS! Plus, what Jack did back then when he was young was just that....wrong as it may be but he should not have to carry that all his life.....He's made atonement...I would think. Hence why she shot him!!!!  Enie Menie Minie Moe P...Victah gets shot...and rightful so....to think he could change her, pay her and then dismiss her.......I don't think so... OP POP POP.....my chest....my chest....

Correct me if I am wrong, Cliq, but Patty was obsessed with Jack from the get go, even when Victor paid her money to leave town. She begged Victor for another chance to get Jack. I think Vic told her to leave town more than once. Having said that, I still don't feel Victor should EVER be obsolved from this issue. When Jack was messing with MaryJane (Patty) he had no idea that was Patty. He may have been responsible for Patty's issues in the past, but I don't think that Jack played a part in Patty's meltdown this time because he didn't know who she was. Jack NEVER had a clue that it was really Patty. I'm not saying Jack is perfect, far from it, but this mess lies at the foot of someone else. |

NOT making excuses for JACK either just saying it was BOTH of them. And ole VIC brought her to town to spy on JACK's BUSINESS DEALINGS because JACK was doing the same thing to him with COLLEEN! That was WHY she had a new "doctored" resume to be a terrific PR person & her face changed was so she could spy on JACK and what better way then to do that than as the PR person who will help JABOT renew it's image. Renew the tarnished image that was brought about from the face cream scandal. It didn't matter if JACK knew who she was or NOT because he directly was involved in her meltdown by his CALLOUS TREATMENT of WOMEN and this time PATTYCAKES was the "other" woman & SHARON was the pregnant WIFE! PATTYCAKES became OBSESSED & DANGEROUS after they were together & when she saw JACK & PHYLLIS together she took her REVENGE out on poor little SUMMER! Ole VIC didn't know she was having mental issues and neither did JACK until it was TOO LATE but by then the DAMAGE was already DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Clicq. It didn't take jumping in bed with Jack for Patti-nuts to be obsessed with him. When Victor first brought her to town and he was talking with her in his office. She was eager to get her revenge on Jack. She was obsessed with Jack from day one. If he never went to bed with her she still would have been obsessed. I believe it was Patti who seduced Jack. Jack being the dog that he is wouldn't pass up what was offered on a platter. |

Again, Cliq correct me if I am wrong, but when MaryJane and Jack started hitting the sheets, Jack told MJ up front that he did not want anything serious with her. Well here is what I think for I think that if Victoria was mad or ashamed at the article then she should had never had an affair because that could had effect her marriage and it is just wrong. Billy just simply wrote the truth about that as well as Victor. |

Victor is to blame for setting Colleen up because he didn't want her on the board seat for she was upset before she went to the Abbott cabin. And that is because Victor set her up and she didn't get the job that she wanted. Also Gloria, Jeff, and Phyllis won't be at fault if Victor didn't bring a mentally unstable person to GC. There was no way that Patty could do by herself and because of that he should be held accoutable. |
