I don't want to hit any nerves here but why don't the writers let Lily go shopping for that wig like she and Colleen had planned. It looks unrealistic anyway when she wears a head wrap you can clearly tell she is not bald and personally I think that skull cap makes her head look extra big. I do know some people who have had cancer and lost their hair and chose to wear wigs. Why don't the writers let Lily experiment with that option? It could show that you have different options in this situation. Also there are prettier ways to wear a head wrap. Bald head, nice earrings, different looks.

I like the idea but ony if VR was around to help her pick one out. With the way they have some of these other female characters looking in their wigs, I say she might as well stay bald. Why not she has a pretty face and is pulling it off well. JMO

I think Lily looks beautiful bald. I would not mind if she decided she wanted to wear a wig but IA that those wigs worn by Tyra were hideous. If those are the kinds of wigs that they have for the women of color then I say keep the scarves and hats. Patty wig was more realistic and I they a spare to give Lily that would work for me.

I actual thought she look very natural & pretty, I think the purpose of the whole scene was to show Lily husband still finds his wife physically & sexually attractive while battling this cancer, Their a lot of ills in the world that can make a woman feel like their not attractive due to a sickness, But Cane reassured her of those feelings I thought this was portrayed very realistically. The New look with a wig may start once she starts to totally heal and is out and about.

Plus take into account the actress real hair is underneath all that makeup to appear bald, so the thickness or shape of her head is a result of the extra big look you speak of.

I to would love to see her in a wig instead of those scarfs. She said in a interview that when they first told her about the OC s/l that they said she would be wearing different kinds of wigs but it hasn't materialized as of yet. I don't trust Y&R when it comes to wigs anyway. Have you looked at Mac and Tyra's wigs. Lily had a wig on before Cane shaved her and it was a shiny hot mess. She is absolutely beautiful bald but it is time for them to soras her hair. They have her so covered up lately she looks like and old lady. Poor Cane it must have taken him an hour to get her out of all those clothes she wears just make love to her. I really miss seeing her beautiful hair and some of her beautiful clothes.

As long as she doesn't look like Chloe did for Halloween...I'm all for the wig

I love Lily's bald look. She is a beautiful girl and I think it accentuates her gorgeous eyes.

I would not care if Lily wore a paper sack on her bald head; the woman is just plain beautiful. Bald is beautiful in this case and this woman is rocking that bald head. Love it! Cane made her see that he would love her no matter whether she had hair, no hair, or anything else. He loves her, thinks she is beautiful, and would not trade her love for anything else in the world. IT'S A GIFT THAT HE THOUGHT THAT HE WOULD NEVER GET TO ENJOY AGAIN!!

lightandday I award you post of the day for this thread Your post is wonderful and so on point. At first I was apprehensive about Lily's bald head, but she really wears it well. When Cane kept telling her she was beautiful and subsequently showed her how beautiful she was to him, I was touched so very deeply. I thought about women going through the trials of cancer and I hope for those watching this epi that it made them smile. To sum it up Lily looked beautiful and to use her characters words from a previous show, a woman is most beautiful when she's happy . That was so obvious today.
