I still have no idea what the SEC supposedly has to do with any of this since banks do not deal in stock or security transactions. The SEC was briefly on the scene in order to question Victoria's misleading statements to NE stock holders that Victor's health was nothing to be alarmed about and therefore, the company was 'healthy and viable'. The failure at the Bank and NE stock has nothing to do with the other. |

Victor is pig headed and wouldn't want to settle for anything. He never see's himself as doing wrong. Damn everyone else. |

I agree with Eppy: What does one thing have to do with the other. All of a sudden out of the blue Michael has a quick conversation with his greedy momma about unearned money she got and boom the SEC is now investigating Victor's dealings with some bank in the Cayman Islands? |

EPPY & COLOR are RIGHT! MICHAEL is misleading/lying to the ever so trusting NICK! The bank could have failed for many, many reasons and VICTOR taking his money out did not cause it but he may have caused a "run" on the bank and that was when other depositors heard he was pulling his money out of the bank they became panicked and tried to pull their money out also. This is what happened in the days following the STOCK MARKET CRASH of 1929 and a pre-cursor to the GREAT DEPRESSION before there was the FDIC and before CONGRESS enacted laws to protect depositors. According to LADY53 who is a lawyer MICHAEL could be either sanctioned or DISBARRED for his actions! |

I thought Nick was the one who went to Victor to warn him about the pending collapse of the bank? |

I'm wondering too, if the FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Commission) has any authority or coverage over foreign banks anyway. Apparently not, because those with money in the bank who didn't withdraw in time, lost their shirts (i.e. Heckle and Jeckle and Jill). That's what they get for trying to hide their money in a foreign bank - they takes their chances! |

I may be under the wrong impression but does the U.S. NOT have jurisdiction over foreign banks? I agree that Victor caused a run on the bank but I also think that if Gloria hadn't opened her manipulative mouth, Michael would be against any restitution. He is involved in a "conflict of interest" which could spell trouble for him. |

Quote judy_bo_booty: I hope Jill gets her money back too. And yes, Michael could get in trouble...but he gets away with dirty things all the time. He is a dirty lawyer. Always has been. He is a dirty lawyer Judy, that is why Victor retains him. I do agree with twocents, I think that Michael may have helped Gloria indirectly by "representing" all those that lost in the Cayman bank. The SEC was already on it and this was a way for Michael to help his greedy mom by helping others. We all know his true intentions was to help his mother get the money back. If it didn't have anything to do with his mother, he would be helping Victor fight the SEC by saying they didn't do anything wrong. Helping his mother is clearly a conflict of interest while representing Victor, but disguising it as helping others and keeping the whole thing under wraps by advising Nick to payoff the people who lost, makes him look like he has Newmans best interest in mind. Does Nick even know that Gloria lost millions? I don't think the White Knight is smart enough to put two and two together. He will do what Michael suggests to keep things quiet. |

You got that post right Color. Gloria has one son to help get her in trouble and then she can rely on the other son to help get her out of trouble. What mother could ask for anything more?? Its like having your cake and eating it too. |

LOL She really kills me because she acts like those two owe her something and they don't owe her a damn thing, she the one that owes them after all those years of being the worlds worst mom and she continues to be so. She's so unappreciative and I believe wild animals treat their offspring better than she treats hers. |
