WTF!!! What is the status of Eric Braeden's contract negotiations!? Victor's last airing was yesterday and I could see the pain in his eyes and hear it in his voice that he did not want things to end this way. What else do we viewwers and loyal watchers have to do to ensure that Victor Newman stays on this show? I can't believe that executives have let it go this far what the hell is the matter with those people? Of course, if Eric has resigned by the time this is posted then never-mind.

A lot of people felt your outrage Robie when it seemed certain EB wouldn't be returning as Victor. But thank goodness the Sony suits came to their senses because for A LOT of fans, Y&R just would not have been the same without TGVN. I'm really glad he's coming back.

I believe the viewers made a difference and Sony decided to offer Victor a changed 3-yr contract. Victor approved of the changes, even, taking the pay cut he had orignal suggested to help the program. Victor signed it so we will be seeing Victor again.
Victor stopped taping Sept 23 and his last tape was aired yesterday on the 2nd. I hope it will be less that 5 weeks before we see him return.
I am looking for a huge s/l once he returns. The writers made Victor look like a weak man so, I think, Victor will come back on a wild stallion and do a GREAT number on ADAM.

I know, the feud b/t Jack and Victor is epic Y&R and I don't think the show will ever stop tapping into that (it brings out the best performances in PB and EB). But, given Victor now has the Abbotts to thank for getting Colleen's heart, won't it be a little ridiculous now for Victor to still try and destroy this family (even if his direct target is Jack)? I mean, the man wouldn't be alive IF not for getting an Abbott heart. I think this s/l was a huge mistake and I think a lot of fans will still despise Victor for getting away with everything he's done to MJ, and all the havoc that ensued from that, and now getting the heart of the young girl he plotted to humiliate. This was really short-sighted writing on the part of the writers, IMO.
