Was I hearing right? Did I not hear Adam tell Sharon that sometimes when he sleeps and when he wakes up in the darkness he thinks he is blind until he turns the light on and there every is, meaning what, he can see? Please help me understand.

Adam has explained that he has only tunnel vision. He can't see peripherally. What he was saying to Sharon is that when he wakes up in the middle of the night, he sometimes fears he has completely lost all vision. I think that this is a very normal reaction for someone who knows they will one day lose all vision. They will sometimes shows scenes through Adam's eyes so that we can see what he sees. I am a diabetic and had blood in my eye several times that caused me to lose the peripheral vision. I saw what Adam sees. Thankfully mine was just temporary. The way they are portraying his blindness is right on the mark.

He has tunnel vision, he is not blind. The doctor said he would eventually lose all his sight, but for now he can see only directly in front of him. They shown that several times in scenes. Hopefully, they will find a miracle operation for him. He's the main reason I tune in. I just love Michael Muhney and what he's done with the character.
