Ashley asked Adam to stay at the ranch because she believes that he was a true friend and confidant and that he was there for her when she believed that she was losing her mind, while he was trying so hard to convince her that she wasn't. Crazy people never want to admit they are crazy and she fell for his crap hook-line-sinker and he knew that she would obviously. Adam was playing Ashley but I don't think he is playing Sharon. I think he needs someone like Sharon because she doesn't judge him because she feels guilty about some of the things she has done in the past and right now he needs that because he also doesn't have a friend in the world.

Sharon right now to Adam is probably the closet thing he has to compare to when it comes to his mother. She has a good heart and is forgiving just like Hope and right now he needs that not to mention all the guilt he may feel about giving Ashley her baby after finding out what kind of person Sharon truly is. She shows him kindness like Ashley, no one else has ever shown him this since his arrival to GC. He believes that he has already made amends to Ashley by giving her Sharon's baby, now how will he make amends to Sharon for taking her baby is the question? Will he confess or will that Dr. that helped him reappear out of guilt and spill the beans? Who knows. JMO

Quote niptuck: How and the world did poor Sharon get caught up in this Mess with Psycho Ashley , and Lunatic Adam, It seems as thou the writers keep throwing Junk at Sharon know better how hard she seems to get her life together, as soon as she seems to want to do better here comes something else, i mean the poor Woman can't catch a Breath before they have her off and getting into something else (is there know other Women in GC, that can act) Why they try to keep her runing from Man to Man is Repulsive and Demeening, Sharon is so much more better than this--now Adam in her face every chance he gets, come on writers give the Woman a break, she needs to concentrate on being Sharon taking time spend with her Son, visit Lily (after all Sharon and Lily's Mom were the best of friends) Get away from all the rife Raff, Branch out, there is so much more she can do besides Ummm lets see who we can put Sharon with GEE give the Woman a Break, why do she have to have a Man glaring at her ( and especially a person that has kidnapped her Baby and gave it to someone Nutter than a Fruit-Cake, and to want her to be in his company smiling and Lying, and being the biggest Hypocrite (right now) in GC, is beyond me.

She and Sharon are not smart enough to really know who are what he is. But, for what you seem to implying, I don't think so. They are both going in two very different directions.
