I think that Nick is in for some pretty tough time. He is going to be attacked on every front. The problems with Newman are looming large and Adam has gotten the ball rolling. I don't think that this is going to be about Sharon, but more about the corporate attacks that are going to bring Nick to his knees. Adam is now trying to convince Phyllis to team up with him and we all know what a huge mistake that will be in the end. Adam has met his match there. Phyllis is much smarter than Sharon and Ashley put together. When Phyllis tells Nick that Adam came to see her he is going to realize what Adam is really up to. I agree, however, I am wondering if Nick is really up to this. This storyline is not going to be about Nick and Sharon or his jealousy of that situation because when he realizes that he is being played by Adam and now other outside forces he isn't going to have time to care. This could develop into some really good corporate storylines, which have been so missed on this show. The show was always more intersting when the corporate wars were front and center. The writers have really messed up the romance on this show, I hope that they do a better job with the corporate war. This could turn out to be very interesting.

Adam is far more intelligent than Nick.He also has a proper business degree. If Nick had actually looked at the paperwork that Adam had brought over, he may have found that Adam was right. Nick's desire to keep Adam out of NE and out of Sharon's life will be his undoing. You are right Gencor. This should be interesting.

Are you a Adam fan? Because no matter how much Nick gets under my skin sometimes I still side with Nick. I feel nothing for Adam but content. He doesn't deserve to have it easy. Nick is acting this way because of what Adam did the last time. Nick doesn't trust him and thats very understandable..

oh too Adam may not have her but adam did take something that was Nicks. Faith! oh wait until Nick finds that out!

I must admit that I am starting to see Adam in a different light. Don't get me wrong, the kidnapping of Faith is despicable! I think it was a spur of the moment act that is weighing on his itty bitty conscience. I am concerned that Nick's attitude will cause Adam to go right back into devious deviant mode. He may have been willing to change and be a good son but IF Nick keeps belittling him, the gloves will come off and frankly I don't think Nick is up to a battle of wits. I used to like Nick but his treatment of both Sharon AND Phyllis makes me want to HURL.( and I'm NOT fond of Phyllis but she deserves better)

Yes I can see your part about Nick and treating Sharon and Phyliss the way that he does..I agree totally. As far as adam though hun I just can't feel it. I just don't feel it.

And lovin, that is your prerogative. I think when Adam actually broke down at Victor's bedside I thought that he really cared for his Dad. He's hiding behind his need/desire for revenge. I just find him interesting that's all. And now I will duck the shoes!

I will say this one more thing..Adam is lucky to have you on his side..LOL..LOL about the duck the shoes thing too! Funny

Nick wasn't as mean to him as Victoria was. Victoria has always been judgmental with Adam. I don't think that Nick deserves to believe his daughter died. Ok so you said he wanted to get revenge on his brother for not accepting him then whats his excuse about Ashley? Ashley was nothing but kind to him and what he did make her go mental. My feelings towards Adam goes way beyond what some think is revenge on the siblings...thats JMO.

I am going to respectfully disagree with many of you in regards to Adam's business sense.

Does anyone remember that ADAM nearly destroyed Newman Enterprises when he was in charge? Does anyone remember that he made BAD decisions for Newman and Neil had to "clean up" his mess because Adam took it upon himself to oust Victoria and Nick! Then turned around and told Neil he could leave too Does anyone remember how furious Victor was when he came back? Does Anyone remember that Victor kicked Adam out of his "high chair" at Newman because he didn't "think" clearly or wisely???

Adam is not the business genius you think he is. He's sneaky. Yes, he has a Harvard Degree. Just because you have a piece of paper doesn't mean you have more knowledge than someone (or people) that have numerous years of ON THE JOB experience. Let's take the Owner, CEO and Founder himself...Victor Newman! He was dirt poor and made something out of nothing due to his ambition and savvy. Victor doesn't have a Harvard Degree but the man is a multi-billionaire and continues to marvel his business colleagues and rivals with his intuity. In real life, let's take Bill Gates! He didn't get an ivy league degree until AFTER he made his hundreds of millions of dollars. So just because someone has a piece of paper from a notable Ivy League school doesn't make them better than someone who doesn't.....for example: George W. Bush

Now, Nick has learned a lot from his father in regards to business and so has Victoria. I think Nick's disdain for Adam should be kept under wraps when dealing with him cuz it just makes the situation worse. Nick is emotional like his mother but is also devious like his father (if necessary). Nick KNOWS Adam is no good and will always be up to no good BUT his undeniable dislike for his half-brother isn't going to hault Adam either. I think we're going to see a very good battle with these two. Adam knows Sharon is still Nick's heart and is also his "achilles heal" and I'm sure he'll use Nick's feelings for Sharon to get to Phyllis at some point in time

IMO...I think the writers are going to have a Nick vs. Adam & Jack vs. Billy story line going for a while. These four will eventually be going at eachother and that's when the fireworks will begin.....and Victor will be back to put that fire OUT!!!

I have to agree with you Demus! Adam didn't even do well before Victor left him the company when he "died". Remember Victor immidiately gave Adam almost the same power that Nick had when Adam first came on the scene, and Adam screwed something up then. I don't remember what it was, but he cost Newman alot of money and Victor was like, oh I made a mistake and tore him a new one. That was when Adam started with all his rage, because he thought he was getting the short end of the stick compared to his siblings.

And I remember pretty clearly that in the begining when Adam came around, Nick and Victoria gave him just as much of a chance as he gave them. All three of them had reservations working together and being "close bros and sis's becaus this was the first time they'd seen each other since he was born. To me, there treatment of one another was pretty typical of siblings that are just finding out about one another. Not everyone can meet and be best buddies like Kevin and Ryder! LOL Nick and Victoria didn't start treating him like an idiot until he screwed up that one deal, and they didn't start treating him like crap until he got in charge and acted like a total jerk!

He might have tons of buisness smarts, and I do think he does. He might be doing some really great things for Newman at the moment. However, he has not done enough to earn their trust back and he should understand that. Especially when he thinks about the things that he's done that they don't even know about. If he really had an once of guilt for what he's done, and if that "breakdown" he had on the stairwell were actually real...then he'd tell the truth, or at least stop trying to minipulate the situation now.

His battle with Nick is about everything. He wants to screw with everything that Nick loves, which is Newman, and now he knows that it's Sharon as well. His visit to Phyllis IMO was pointless and the scene just sounded totally useless. If Phyllis is figuring anything out about Adam, it's not because she's smarter than Sharon, it's because she use to be what Adam is. She did things just as if not more dispicable than Adam and she can see it coming a mile away. Sharon doesn't have a diveous bone in her body, so she's only seeing someone who needs redemption, which is what she's looking for right now as well.

Vicki and Nick were both cool towards Adam because they remembered Victor's marriage to Hope and the birth of Adam as a bad time in their lives. I haven't forgotten that Adam has screwed up at NE. Both Nick and Vick have over the years. Victor has given them ALL second or third or fourth chances because they are his children. Adam IS devious but if Nick keeps getting in his face, it will only get worse. Nick may start making unsound business decisions because Adam is screwing with his head, especially over Sharon.Victor will come back and tear everyone a new one.

I agree noony with your observations about Phyllis and Sharon. Phyllis is just as manipulative and devious as Adam so she is quicker to recognize a scam. Sharon is NOT like that and it is difficult for people who have good hearts to see that others are not so good.
