Thank you for the info Candace. This is what Y&R used to be well known for. Controversial and important story lines meant to provoke thought not just aggravate the last nerve! Organ donation is something everyone should think about. It was a well done story including both of the families involved. The anguish of the donor family and the gratitude of the receiver. The actors were stellar as usual. Kudos to the show!

Yes, this whole storyline was very well done. I felt so sorry for both families, and still BE angry with Victor, for putting everyone through this. But, then of course, the writers can only keep it good for so long, Victor, getting out of the hospital, and prancing all over town, now, he is going to rehab!! Come on, and with all of his moving and shaking, can't Victoria say, "See, I told you he is getting better, I didn't lie!! So there, I told you so!" Sorry, I just had to get that little tantrum OUT!! LOL

This is one perfect example of why Y&R has always been on top - by addressing today's social issues and creating public awareness on a particular topic.

The Young and the Restless is to be commended for their work on the Organ Donation story. The public awarness of this issue may help to increase the number of available organs for those on waiting list. The story was very well done. I am not a heart transplant survivor, but had open heart surgery 13 years ago. This storyline really touched me. Thank you writers and actors for caring enough to work on helping people to understand the importance of the gift of life. Blessings.

I had a double-lung transplant two years ago and I must say the subject was handled with dignity for both the donor family and the recipient. It usually doesn't work like this at all in the real world....most of us are on a list and only some of us get to know our donor's family. Nonetheless, kudos for raising awareness for organ donation and understanding the life/death needs and emotional turmoil it can bring about.

Way to go YR. That's cool! I really thought that they would have done well to touch on the subject of stem cell. When all those spoilers were floating around about Sharon having twins and losing one. I thought how fitting and poignant it would have been for Nick and Sharon to make the decision to let their deceased baby's stem cells be used to save another. Especially if had been say Ashleys baby who would have been born sick or Summer who might have been diagnosed w/some dreaded disease.

Maybe they can touch on this w/Adam's blindness although I rather like him like that. It adds to his edge and mystery and I think helps him, as he has to rely on his senses and read people w/more skill.

PUHLEASE! The blatant misinformation about pregnancy, the after effects of pregnany, and mental health issues, plus this latest Ovarian cancer debacle..what a joke.. Not to mention the would NEVER give a heart to a 70 year old multiple gunshot victim!! The chances of survival are nil.. it is laughable .Oh brother some people are so into fantasyland they believe this junk!! Soaps are declining in viewership for these very reasons! People who view programming what to be respected for their smarts..not fed this pablum!
