Victor and Nikkie have been the center piece of star cross lovers for years and years and I loved every minute.. But,
at their ages.. does the story line still have the umph it
once had??? It doesn't for me...almost seems silly...

I think their story lines should be written for their approriate age... they are no longer kids.. lol...

They began their journey as star crossed lovers and traveled many many miles with all roads leading back to each other! That is not by accident as Victor acknowledged.

Don't care his age...the MAN HAS GOT IT! The magnetism between these two sucks the breath out of me....

I hate to break it to you,,, but VN is almost 70. He has
always been older than Nikki.....She is in her mid 50's.

He's a bit old to be playing the "romeo"... as far as I am concerned.....a new father at almost 70???.. more than silly to me.

Yes, they need to keep them married and let them argue... sleep in different rooms... or whatever... but this "cross lovers" story line is more than old and meant for couples younger...like Sharon and Nick... They have replaced their parents in that role.

Oreo. you have my sympathy.... This is not Scarlett and Rhett...Again, Rhett was not almost 70...now, their magnitism sucked out my breath....

But, hey, I would never throw cold water on anyone that loooooves VN... nor who has "ump"... after 50.....rofl...

I'm 45 & I think Victor is hot at any age! He did, does, & always will have it. Just something about him, that is so sexy.

I have been with my husbnd for a very long time, and we are even "older" than Victor and Nicki..And, we still feel the same, only more so, as we did when we first dated!!!!

I'm sorry I think yawwlllll missed the point. I am not against romance, love and all that entails... ..... I am 75 and doing just great in that department and still look pretty darn good..I've watched this show since the conception.

I am talking about the "star cross" lover thyme.... the divorcing and remarrying... How many of you.. ever been apart and back with your spouses like Victor and
Nikki????. I doubt many... I've known a couple in real life who did that 7 times.... but that was when they were young... but not normally done.. . and yesssss I know it's a soap... but there should be some reality to it.

I love the star cross lovers thyme.. but it is usually reserved for young couples.

The writers should figure out a way to keep Victor and Nikki exciting and stop all this foolishness... just my opinion.

When I saw this thread I was going to comment it on it, but I don't have to because you spoke what I was thinking..I'm 41 married 23 years..does this mean that I'm getting to the age now that my husband and i can' be lovers..We do and act the same way we did when we were married 23 years ago..making us 18/19...I guess our love life is numbered now LOL..Great post..

I agree, I am sure that there is still a romantic side to Victor and Nikki, but, come on...just love each other. Maybe this time, they should not get re-married. That seems to be the problem, they get along great, then they get married, after the honeymoon phase wears off, off to divorce court again we go.

You're never too old to love or be loved. EB was born on April 3, 1941, so that makes him 68 years old. I didn't know there was an appropriate age to love. Melody Scott Thomas is April 18, 1956, making her 53 years old. I hate to tell you this but I'm 61 years old, and I have a very healthy love life. I don't have to brag about it. My better half is 66 years old, and we have never had so much fun in our lives. I was married for 22 years. Have never married since. My children are all grown with children of their own, but myself and my boyfriend, well, we just take it for all it's worth, and by golly, we are having fun. I didn't think it could be like this when people got our age, but I can attest to the fact that it is better now than when I was younger. I didn't have to worry about getting pregnant or any of that stuff.

I hope when I'm 90 I can still have the life I have now. Don't know if the body can hold up then, and mentally I don't feel older, but I can sure as heck give it the old college try.

And yes, I do love Victor and Nikki together. This makes me happy. It was meant to be. Their chemistry has no bounds. Just wish we could get Nick and Sharon back together. They have the same kind of love and chemistry together. Ohhh, those Newman men!
