If the authorities really thought she was mentally unstable, they would have put her away, regardless if Jack decided to press charges. Even Jack said that he thought that she went on with her life. SO if Jack, who drove her to shoot him, thought she was fine, how in the world was Victor suppose to know she wasn't fine. Victor brought her to town for business purposes, because he thought she would want to get even with Jack. IMO, it's a big difference between setting someone up for murder, then trying to destroy them professionally. |

No, of course JACK's callous treatment of PATTYCAKES back in 1982 when she was his PREGNANT WIFE saw him cheating, lost the baby, he told her they would have another, and then she "snapped" when she heard him making a DOCTOR'S appointment for a vasectomy. But he CAN be made to be/feel RESPONSIBLE for again callouslly treating her when instead of she being his wife she is now in the place of the woman he CHEATED with on his PREGNANT WIFE. Just because you shoot someone in the heat of passion, doesn't make you crazy. That's why there's the temporary insanity plea. If the authorities really thought she was mentally unstable, they would have put her away, regardless if Jack decided to press charges. Even Jack said that he thought that she went on with her life. SO if Jack, who drove her to shoot him, thought she was fine, how in the world was Victor suppose to know she wasn't fine. Victor brought her to town for business purposes, because he thought she would want to get even with Jack. IMO, it's a big difference between setting someone up for murder, then trying to destroy them professionally. I am sure victor knew something he must have had private investigators looking for patti. Those are assumptions and pretty big ones at that. All we can judge is the story that is told. We were never told that Victor had Patti investigated to check her stability, so we can't assume he did. And why would he? If everyone else, including Jack and Paul, assumed she was doing okay, why would Victor assume otherwise. |

YEP and it is so funny because the last the WILLIAMS family knew of her was that she moved to CHICAGO(I think to be close to her other brother, may have the city wrong but it was NOT where she was found). Why didn't the WILLIAMS know where she was. I will say that PATTI did go to a therapist back in the day because she blanked out what happened to JACK when she shot him. But by the time she left and then came back trying to re-start her relationship with DR she was supposed to be fine, mentally. |
