Victor Speaks - Spoiler

For fans who grew up with Victor Newman and Y&R today's (Thursday USA) show is a walk dowm Memory Lane. He makes a video for his family - Faith is is main audience in years to come when she is grown. He discusses his history, his friends - even mentions Colonel Austin. He takes the time to discuss the Abbotts and his respect for John as well as his feud with Jack. Even gives Jack a nod of respect explaining it is "family" both men care most about when all is said and done.
A tear jerker...all that is missing is the song "Memories" playing in the background, This must have been the "final" scene filmed before an agreement was reached for his return.
All dark clouds have a "silver lining"....the creation of this video and the memories it envoked shined through the darkness we have endured.
Victor does one more thing..silently. There are no words. He silently places a rose on Colleen's grave, kneels and prays. The feeling is powerful. TGVN delivers a heart pounding scene.

I really enjoyed those flashbacks. Seeing the Colonel,Vicki as a baby, younger Mrs. Chancellor......great shows. My daughter was hysterical over the hair and clothes!

That scene with Victor at Colleen's grave was sooo touching. I believe he feels great remorse over what he has done with Patti. He HAS apologized for her death. When Jack came to tell him of Traci's decision, he said that he was sorry for the great pain he had caused the Abbot family. Too bad Jack didn't let the others know.

No an agreement was reached by Sony and Eric last week and he WILL BE BACK. They did say they didn't know exactly how they were going to rewrite him back in since he had already made his final goodbyes and all so we shall see. So the mustache is here to stay, at least for 3 more years.

I don't recall the scene that way. Jack came in and told Victor about Traci's decision and Victor he is sorry for the painful choice they had to make but that he is grateful that they made it . I just wish he would say he is sorry for the part he played in the whole mess. He is not solely responsible but he had a hand in it and his politician response of " mistakes were made" does not cut it for me. He treated Colleen like dirt when she was alive so a rose on her grave means nothing to me.

Both Jack and Victor are responsible for the Patti mess. Jack for treating her like garbage all those years ago and Victor for bringing her back to town. He had no idea what he was unleashing. That doesn't absolve him though. Yes he did say to Jack that he was grateful for the chance at life but he DID say he was sorry for the pain. Traci has been very magnanimous about the whole situation. He also indirectly caused his own granddaughter to be injured. But if Patti hadn't seen Jack with Phyllis, she wouldn't have used Summer as a catalyst.

I am glad that he is coming back to the show. I am curious as to how they are going to return him and what they will do with him when he does return. I am not so fond of Victor as I used to be.

Gencor, I think a lot of us are not as fond as Victor as we used to be. This whole storyline with Patti and him not being upfront with his involvement, especially after Summer was hurt, really angered many fans. Today's Canadian show has him speaking with Jack at the end and basically victor tells jack that he "ain't seen nothing yet". VERY intriguing!

It makes me sick to hear victor say he has no regrets he caused colleens death and he caused his granddaughter to be injured and he has no regrets he deserves everything he gets.

I just got back in town and have not watched the shows that I recorded. I was not aware that an agreement was made. Thanks so much for the information.

Probably much more by the writers design, because they were planning to fire him, but whatever their plan, the way that they have written Victor, I have just lost all respect for him. And now, if he returns and starts up with Jack again and now Billy as well, I don't know, I have just lost what I had for Victor Newman. I wanted to see him say he was sorry to Nick and Phyllis about Summer and his part in it. I mean if you can't apologize to your son and his wife, what are you? Then, for him and Nikki to just hook up like nothing really ever happened between them? And to just dump Ashley out of the blue like that? I don't know. I just have lost respect for this man and I don't think that I can ever respect him again.

Not only is Victor/EB staying, but the "old Victor" most people remembered is starting to to show again. He's always been nicer after having some medical crisis. Too bad it doesn't last that long. The "Down Memory Lane" scenes were great and it just reminds me that the show used to be the best! But other than today and any other VINTAGE Y & R shows I can record...well, I still can't stand the Evil Adam/crazy Ashley/crazy Sharon/baby thing...so will stay away for now.
