Billy's "Reign of Terror"

Billy doesn't give a "fig" for Traci, Ashley or even Jack in his exploitation of his family to seek revenge. Who is he really destroying? His family. Himself.
Business is "Open Game". Jack gave him enough ammunition to target Victor. Not satisfied, he throws a hand grenade into his family's compound and ambushes his own flesh and blood.
His achievement? Exposed a seriously mentally ill woman, Patty, who his brother Jack drove over the edge of sanity years ago; challenges his sister, Ashley's precarious mental stability by, A) Hurting Ashley's sister Traci who just lost a child B) Slamming her girls father in a hideous tragedy not stopping at using business issues C) Defiling Colleen's legacy of forgiveness and her mother's ultimate act of forgiveness in her daughter's name to end a dangerous and fatal feud and, D) Using her generosity to fund this "Reign of Terror".
Billy is as uncontrollable as a scud missile set loose. He is incapable of any emotion other than hate and like a petulent child he could care less what or how his actions affect even his own family. The target - Victor - was struck - and the schrapnel cut his family to schreds.. If Chloe truly "get" Billy she has to understand this too.

In a nutshell, I am njoying it! I can't say I agree with what he did per se , but I certainly understand. Don't know if I would've been able to just let what Victor did go either.
Jack may have been the catalyst for Patty's instability, but Victor was the ONE who brought her back to wreck havoc, and that is what she did. So, I'm gonna give Billy some slack on this one.

We are talking about a man that slept with another woman on his wedding night right? This is the same man that knew the women was carrying his child but let his brother take the fall for it right? This is the same man that thru his own mother under the bus right?
I'm still not getting how anyone is shocked at Billy and/or his actions. His character has always been one of irresponsibility and recklessness. His own mother sent him to Hong Kong because he was such a burden to the company. He doesn't know the meaning of family or loyality. Billy does what he wants, to who he wants, when he wants. He won't change. He gets that from his mother's side I think.

I'm NOT taking up for BILLY because I think he is just CONTINUING the VENGEFUL feud that the ABBOTTS & NEWMAN's have gone throgh for almost 30 years. BILLY is certainly NOT the only character to have treated a pregnant WIFE, soon-to-be-wife, or MISTRESS shabily on their wedding or upcoming wedding and he won't be the last! oh, smilin JACK with PATTYCAKES due any day back then was doing the nasty with ole DIANE JENKINS when PATTYCAKES saw them and tripped over a chair and lost her baby! BILLY was sent to HONG KONG because of his extensive gambling debts! And as far as BILLY not caring about how it effects the rest of his FAMILY he just joins the line that VICTOR and JACK are already in! REVENGE to the exclusion of everything and everyone ELSE has been the middle name of BOTH JACK & TGVN for almost thirty years and it looks like ole BILLY BOY is joing the fun by firing his scud missels(as OREO said) FIRST! while I am most tired of the Abbott/Neumann feud, I do so enjoy Billy and am supportive of his motives to nail Victor. Why should Billy turn the other cheek just cause his family said to? Would Victor - NO and Billy knows this so he is tired of being diplomatic and taking the high road, he wants Victor to pay and knows he won't pay any other way.

I like Billy, Nicky boy, go home to Phyllis because you are NO match for Billy Abbott, you can't even get your love life in order little lone take on an Abbott feud!! lol

You hit this nail dead on the head. Traci gave Victor the greatest gift. With that she showed how truly unselfish and forgiving one person could be. To bad her little brother could not follow her shining example. He wants to blame all the evils of the world on Victor Newman. Victor may have done some horrible things, but by the same token he is not guilty of all the crimes Billy seems to want to lay at his door step. It's too bad that Billy could not be half the person his big sister Traci is.

I am loving this s/l also. Yes Billy has done some incredibly selfish things but Victor was just as bad to the Abbott's even after getting Colleen's heart. I say go Billy! What right did Nick have to go to RS and order Billy out of the building? Nick it is NO LONGER your business!

I am a Billy fan and yet I agree about Billys actions. But in the same manner he does show remorse after the fact. I was beating myself up for liking Billy but if Adam can have people admire him and like him for all he has done liking Billy isn't a problem LOL..

I thinik Billy is like he is, is because all his life no one in his family thought he can do anything..I think he rebells on this..He is trying so hard to make R/S work and I do believe that the topic will bring money in, however he'll have to find another building though. I think I'd rather read about the most powerful man in my town rather then a yorkie ( and I love yorkies)LOL..

I hate favoritism in familie espeically among mothers and Jill even put a man (who she thought was her son) that she has never met b4 Billy. That is just wrong in all counts. Even after she found out Cane lied and he wasn't her son she still showed favoritism..

Mdtuttle,I agree with you that Traci was very unselfish by giving victor her daughters heart, however I see that some would take it worse then others. All that Billy sees is that this man is the reason his niece is gone and yet his life is saved by the heart of that very person. Now I know Victor did not push Colleen in the lake and drown her I know this, but as victor preached many many times to Nikki about David and what he did she put in motion...well in this case Victor did the same exact thing.. If he had not brought Patty back disguised as Mary Jane then colleen would be alive and thats what Billy sees..I think that both Abbotts and Newmans all have issues..but in this case the abbotts were punished in the worse way..a loved one died..what did Victor loose in the process? Ashley..who he really never loved.. Faith...who isn't really his...what has he lost? How has he been punished? So this is how Billy thinks he is getting back at him and I applaud him for it.Now before Billy even did this artical..right when victor woke up and can feel partly like himself he told ashley he dont'care about the abbotts..Traci is an abbott, colleen is a abbott..and he had the nerve to say that to ashley..ummm i think he deserves everything Billy is dishing out to him..

oh i know what you meant..yes i agree on that part.. but people act different ways...i just see why someone would act this way thats all. If Billy hadn't done this they still would have had a newman/abbott feud b/c victor wouldn't have changed..he hasn't changed..He still had attitude on the abbotts even after an abbott heart saved his life..
