I was hoping for a gay storyline

Where did it go? Granted, Thom Bierdz is kind of a wet mop but Rafe is cute and I would have liked to have seen more of his character. It's a shame that Y&R appears to have ditched that story line. |

And to think the original Adam actor left Y&R due to the S/l that they now have killed what a real shame for him, to now have a big black mark for nothing, but better the world knows. |

And if you remember, there were so many posts by people on this board that were up in arms about having the gay storyline. All that frustration and expression of negativity for nothing - a brief kiss and inference of sex between Rafe and Adam. Was it really that bad? I'm sure it'll be revived at some point, I just hope that it wasn't squashed due to public opinion. |

Seems to me that Y&R had a perfect opportunity when they were unfolding the storyline with PC3 but they folded because of some sort of perceived pressure or backlash or something. It really could have been so much more if PC3 had come to town with a lover BUT the way it unfolded without him ever having a lover or even mentioning a lover was just sad. i for one was happy that PC3 was brought back and that the actor got to come out to his public by way of PC3(yes, I do know that TB was out to friends & had been for sometime)and what so many people didn;t even try to understand was how very different TWENTY years ago was for gays and lesbians and so to me his story made perfect since. i had a very good friend when I was in college who was gay and was with him through some good and bad times with lovers. I also think RAFE is cute and was happy to see when he came out at the bar to his friends they "just" accepted him and nothing else. Maybe, TPTB will still give RAFE a BF but it doesn't look like it. They have chickened out before like when they started a romance with NEIL & VICKIE and then it was over before it really began. JMO! |

I do think you are right that TPTB caved in to people being all up in arms over WHAT? A quick KISS and some hugging! PLEEZE I have seen more in some PG RTED comedy between TWO "STRAIGHT" FRAT boys kissing each other. Give me a break! I have seen MORE on GREEKS which is a PRIME-TIME ABCFAMILY comedy! TPTB are just CHICKENS! BUCK! BUCK!BUCK!SQUACK!SQUACK!Feathers flying in the air!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

If gay story lines is what you want then you can watch AMC OLTL ATWT And if GL was still on you could go there. I don't think we need that on this show JMO |

I think they were testing the waters with this one and when the back lash came then dropped it pronto. Too bad because I think if it was done properly it could of been a good thing. They should of done it with a different character though. Someone like Abby would of been more interesting. Have her going thru real problems of trying to sort out her feelings for let say Eden. Maybe that is why she is always giving Eden a hard time. I think this would of been an excellent learning tool for young kids today that are faced with the same problems. Both the one having the feelings and the one on the receiving end. Kids today are going thru this stuff and just ignoring it, is not making it go away. |

I think that if P3's return had been a success then we would have seen a story with him front and center and since he is a gay man, a relationship would have been part of that story. I thought his return was a waste. I felt nothing for P3 , that how lackluster the character is for me. It is a toss upbetween who is more boring P3 or Mac. |
