Obviously the Sharon fans will be in outrage if this happens but she is young enough to have another and the idea of a prophecy baby is wrong on so many levels. I could say more but why bother because there will always be those who want Faith with Sharon. I happen to agree with you. Frankly, I think that it would make a much better storyline to let it be. There are so many other interesting things that can be written than to revisit all of this trauma, hurt and pain. Sharon is working through her disaster and Ashley will continue to work through hers. That is the best of soap opera when things unfold in the natural course of things. |

I HAVENT WATCH Y&R FOR OVER 3 YRS AND WHEN I FINALLY DO WATCH IT THEY TAKE SHARONS BABY AWAY,HOW CAN SOMEONE DO THAT,HAVENT SHE DONE BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH,SHE ALREADY DONE LOST TWO CHILDREN AND TO ME LOSING HER FIRST BORN WAS ENOUGH TO PUT A MOTHER THROUGH.HOW WOULD THEY FEEL IF SOMEONE DID THEM LIKE THAT,I DONT THINK THEY WILL FEEL TO GOOD,I HOPE Y&R DONT WAIT UNTIL THE BABY GETS SICK OR UNTIL THE BABY GETS OLDER,ITS ALREADY BAD BECAUSE SHES MISSING THE PRECIOUS MOMENTS OF HER BABY GIRL LIFE,SHE DOESNT DESERVE TO BE TREATED LIKE THAT. |

It would be a good s/l to show Ashley NOT bonding with Faith and Faith responding to Nick and Sharon  It would also be interesting to see Ashley actually figure this whole mess out ON HER OWN!!! We know she's acting nuts and this could be why  Deep down inside, Ashley knows she did not give birth!!!!!I just hope they don't wait as long as they did with the whole Neil/Dru/Malcolm s/l. That was YEARS  I totally agree with you Ashley knows she didn't give birth....this s/l has been written in such an unforgivable way. What went through these writers mind is so not believable.....

I pray that latter rumour is true because this storyline has turned off a lot of fans because it's so offensive. So, if you're upset with the s/l - keep writing/emailing the show and CBS. How do you think other storylines that are rumoured or were planned get pulled (and there have been several on this show just in the past 3 years)? Fan protest, that's how.  Here's to the reunion of Sharon and Nick with their baby girl Faith Cassidy Newman.

It's getting attention - - and people are watching. Even those who say they do not watch, are still coming to the boards to check on it and even comment on it. This could very well give them the incentive to drag it on. Actully, no. Writers and producers want fans to WATCH the show because the SPONSORS want consumers to see their ad products. Storylines that create so much viewer backlash is what generally makes writers change storyline direction for fear of driving more viewers away (Y&R has lost a ton of viewers this year alone from Jan - to last Sept. - barring the Colleen/Tracy s/l which brought in lot of viewers, as stunt plots usually do). It's been proven over and over again on this show that when viewers express how much they hate a storyline and stop watching the show, the storyline goes in a different direction(TPTB don't care if fans are reading MBs - they want viewers to see the show for ratings/ads). I would not be surprised at all if that happens with this Ashley/Adam/Sharon s/l. The majority of fans find it repulsive and it has turned viewers away from watching - all of which the writers know. I suspect this storyline won't last a year.... |

Here's to the reunion of Sharon and Nick with their baby girl Faith Cassidy Newman. i sent mine in to y & r, cbs, steve kent and steve mosko. they will hear from me everyday until this s/l ends. i mentioned to them that the longtime viewers are leaving in droves cause they are turning our beloved show into passions and they know what happened to passions. it got cancelled cause it sucked. |

However, given how sadistic the writers have been, I wouldn't put it past them to draw this out for an entire year or more. Hopefully though, they'll note the extremely negative fan reaction to this baby-switch storyline and correct their error. I definitely will not tune in again until I hear they are giving Sharon her baby back (bonus: Adam gets eaten by a lion that's escaped from the zoo ...hey, it could happen...the storylines have been stupid enough lately). Moniker Now,I would love for that to happen.  On Knots Landing Valene had her twin babies stolen at birth and didn't get them back until they were about 3. I hated that S/L as much as I hate this one. |

My opinion stands as well that this storyline is turning viewers AWAY from watching and that is NOT what TPTB want, so this storyline won't take a year to play out, IMHO. Far less generally accepted offensive s/ls on this show have been pulled or "redirected" in the past and I think this one will be too.
