This whole storyline is just messed up. A year wait for the resolution of this stupid storyline is a year too much. For the love of soapland, give the poor woman her baby back before Christmas...and I mean THIS Christmas, not next Christmas.

However, given how sadistic the writers have been, I wouldn't put it past them to draw this out for an entire year or more.

Hopefully though, they'll note the extremely negative fan reaction to this baby-switch storyline and correct their error. I definitely will not tune in again until I hear they are giving Sharon her baby back (bonus: Adam gets eaten by a lion that's escaped from the zoo ...hey, it could happen...the storylines have been stupid enough lately).

I think that there is too much more story to tell before Sharon gets her baby back. I never did think that she would get her baby back anytime soon. It just makes me sick for Ashley. She will be raising this child as her own all of this time and when she has to give her up it will tear her heart out. I hate this for her. She has been through enough. I always thought that having Sharon go nuts and sleep with three men to get knocked up was a stupid storyline on its face, and the way the writers have screwed this up I really don't think that anyway you slice this, everybody gets hurt. I almost think that they should just leave well enough alone. This is all just too screwed up and the longer they drag it out the worse it is going to get. These writers seem to like suffering.

If the rumor is true, then that means an hour of my day won't be wasted. I can check Y&R progress online. When the writers decided to right that wrong and bring the child to her rightful parents, I'll start watching again. The dumbness is too rampant anyway. All those smart people not making the connection where Ashley gave birth? Victor leaving the child her when he knows she isn't stable. Victor leaving. Its all too much.

Ashley put an innocent woman in jail. I have no sympathy for her. She's boo hoo when its convenient for her, when it gets her what she wants. I think she knew her baby died and didn't just so happen to be at the same place as Sharon.

Well, because the writers, are not aware of "bonding with your baby",that is not a factor in the storyline. I do not watch Days, but, on One Life to Live, Starr Manning and Jessica Buchann, had a similar storyline about 8 months ago.
One of Jessica's alter egos, took Starr's baby, yada, yada, yada. About 6 months later, it was all sorted out, Jessica, had a couple of days of mourning, then fell for Brody, and lived happily ever after! The End. No trauma for the baby, just like nothing ever happened.

Personally I hope that if it goes a year it doesn't get turned. Sharon will have worked through her grief, Faith will have bonded with Ashley so why start it all up again. It didn't hurt for Lily to find out when she was grown and she wasn't the only one it has ever happened to. Obviously the Sharon fans will be in outrage if this happens but she is young enough to have another and the idea of a prophecy baby is wrong on so many levels. I could say more but why bother because there will always be those who want Faith with Sharon.

If the rumour is true, then it is sad. Sharon needs to have her baby! The child is hers and a year is too long to discover her baby is alive. She needs to hold the child, care for the child, love the child now.

Did anyone ever take it into consideration that the more the producers, etc., see the angst from viewers regarding Sharon getting her baby back, the longer they might carry it out? It's getting attention - - and people are watching. Even those who say they do not watch, are still coming to the boards to check on it and even comment on it.

This could very well give them the incentive to drag it on.

I'm sorry here, but Ashley needs to give that baby to its rightful owner. Poor, Ashley. She needs to go to the nuthouse anyway. And when that baby is taken away, she will probably get there. She's been nuts for a lot of years. She always becomes unbalanced when she's pregnant. Look at her history. Well, how about poor Sharon missing out on bonding with her baby.

People are mentioning a lot lately how the baby looks like a Newman more than the Abbotts. Jack will mess his pants when he finds out. Even Nikki stated how much the baby looked like Nick when he was a baby. How little they know!
