Victoria is a snot nosed Newman. She thinks her crap doesn't stink. Just like daddy dearest she believes that the spouse should bow down to her because of her name. Just look at the fact she didn't even take JT's name, that should tell you something. I swear she would sleep would old money bags if given half the chance. She's that warped. I understand the whole daughter/father relationship but Victoria crosses the line on so many occasions. She creeps me out with the way she acts towards her dad. It's not natural the way she goes on about him sometimes.
The girl needs to grow up and move away from Victor. That relationship is totally unhealthy!

Victoria is a product of Nikki and Victor. As we know TGVN is one of the most ruthless characters with a string of broken romances.
I like Victoria, I think JT is like a pet rock. He's cute, but what's the point? IMO he disrespected Victoria when he was pining away for Colleen. GMAB. She was his ex girlfriend. At least Victoria and Deacon were behind closed doors. JT practically threw himself on Colleen's comatose body.

Victoria is consumed with her legacy - Newman Enterprises. She is unable to seperate herself from it - it is her identity just as it is for her father who founded this empire. Some people go into heavy withdrawal taking away their cell phone..imagine cutting yourself off from your career your family's multibillion dollar conglomerate at which you have worked for ... for years right up from the mailroom which has become your life? Not easy. Ask a man to do it! LOL
About not taking JT's name. Many many professional women do not assume their husband's surname preferring to keep their maiden name...the one that identified her through college and her professional life before marriage. I did. Many of my friends do Husbands do not make it an issue any longer. In fact, my children's middle name is my mother's maiden name. Summer's first name is Phyllis maiden name. Reed's first name in his grandmother's maiden name. My maiden name is my name and still I was referred to in social circles and by my childrens friends a Mrs (husband's last name). No big deal.
Having said that.....Victoria has a marriage she defiled by sleeping with Deacon. She has a child. She must choose. Choosing a marriage seems the easy answer. FOr her it is not because of who she is. In the end she will choose JT - events are deciding her fate. Her mother was right having had been in that seat before..either way you lose a part of yourself. Think Victoria and JT will go off to NY and return at a later date.

IO cant stand Victoria! I have watched open mouthed for the last few years whenever she has been on! She is such a hypocrite! She was all over JT about that kiss when she had done the nasty with some random guy she didnt know! And all she had to do was talk things out with JT but now she acts like NE is family. Its business and JT is the father of your son, your husband! He was there every second while she was laid up in that hospital bed (both times)taking care of their son! I know that was his job as a husband/father but she is just so ungrateful! Makes me sick. I hope that they will find a way to make her a little more human and a little less Newman!

I, too, kept my "maiden" name just because it's my name. Not for professional reasons, not to diss my husband. It's my name. It's not a "statement", just my name...though I did suggest to my husband that he change his sur name to mine if he wanted the same names

Yeah, I thought that was an equitable solution He suggested we both hyphenate our two last names (mine-his)...then he'd use the blended name, too. Uh huh.

Needless to say, we both kept our own last names, and I love it

Victoria could have had both until she crossed lines with JT and she sure doesn't show him any affection

And where's Reed? I've heard Victoria say that they haven't spent much time with him, why not? I haven't seen him in ages.

DITTO! I have never changed my name and never felt the need to! oh, my husband's pride was a little hurt(he is 6 1/2 years younger than me). PROFESSIONALLY I will always be using my maiden name as my degree and accomplishments are all under this name but personally friends and relatives know I'm married and still refer to me by my husband's name it is a compromise that works but I consider my name the one I was born with ALWAYS my name! And it just that the women fought for to be able to do just that! So, I do see NOTHING wrong with VICKIE keeping the NEWMAN name she had it alot longer than JT's name! JMO!

I can excuse Victoria for her treatment of Ashley back in the day - she was a little girl. But Hope, Sabrina and even Ashley now....no...cause she was a grown up (I think)...even Nikki moved on and had relationships...but Victoria did never accept anyone in her father's life but her mother. Hmmmm...maybe she was right!
