I think your right she was looking like the Nikki from way back in the day. I guess it was to take us on a trip down memory lane when her and Victor hooked up but in a Mary Williams kind of way.

I think nearly every woman of certain age has weight flucuations. At 40 I long for the good old days of 28. For me it is not about her size it is just about the wardrobe. She is a curvy woman and the stylist could play that up in an age appropriate way. That stretchy flowered dress with all the cleavage was not working for me. Her hair was sooo big. I want to see Nikki with a cut like Jill's.

I think she is a beautiful woman but the dress she was in today should never be worn again. I guess she forgot to ask anyone if she looked good in that

As quoted by many fans, Nikki is a gorgeous female and I totally agree; but, has allowed herself to become "dowdy" looking. I've read she had medical problems and has gained a lot of weight due to this.. but, her wardrobe seems to play on this. I read a number of years ago, she wears her own clothes and jewelry... it's in her contract.

She is still young... OMG.. mid 50's.. she could still be a knock out.. She and the producers need to take a good look in the mirror.. No need for her to look this "dowdy".. Get some weight off, get an up to date hair do...and get some glamous, classy clothes...let the wardrobe department buy them for her.

I agree, look at Katherine who is 80... always such a classy, well put together look... epitomizes class..

Nikki does not have to compete with the Young females at all... just hold her own...

Makeovers....wish someone would give me one! Seriously, though, in my opinion, Nikki would look so much better and more stylish with a fairly short bob. She had that for a while, I think while she and David were together, and it was really flattering to her. I think also that her wardrobe should be chosen more carefully now that her figure is fuller than in the past. There are plenty of stylish clothes that would be wonderful on her. She is so beautiful that I hate to see her hair and clothes become a distraction.
As for others mentioned in the various postings as needing wardrobe makeovers, my main complaint is the very sexy and seductive clothes the women wear to work in the business world. Not very realistic from what I know of the real world....but then, this is the soaps world, so I guess that explains it.
Finally, Mac....more than a change in her frumpy clothes, I'd like to see the writers give her a personality and put a little joy into her outlook. Poor girl hardly ever smiles! She seems to have the weight of the world on her shoulders all the time.
All in all, though, I love this show and will keep on watching!

I think Nikki looks beautiful. I love her big hair, and I think she is ageing very gracefully. I can't imagine being on the t.v screen for 30 straight years, and maturing from a younge woman to a sassy woman in her 50's right in front of everybody. She looks great, and the big hair do to me, makes her look younger. Most women when they get older start chopping off their hair, but I"ve always liked when older women keep their long beautiful crowning glory. She's got it so why not flaunt it. Nikki, hands down,is still the #1 shining Diva in GC. No make over needed in my book. I actually like the chinese looking print dress she had on. It complimented her now fuller figure. We can't all stay a perfect size 6 our whole life now can we?

On the other hand, I"ve got a list of folks who could use a make-over, but since we are supposed to be discussing Nikki, I'll save it for another thread.

If Nikki would have stayed with Paul I would say that she well needs a makeover, but since she is going back to Victor, I would wonder why she would bother. Truth is most doormats don't need makeovers since they get swept over so much. I have lost all respect for Nikki Newman, I really don't care what she does anymore. When she left Paul to go back to Victor, she lost my respect. I don't even like the way she looks anymore. I am not sure that she should even waste her time trying to look good to go back to Victor Newman. As I said, what good would it do her. It usually doesn't matter what a doormat looks like anyway.

I think that Nikki looks beautiful. I like her hair and the color of it and for a woman of her age, I think that unlike others here, she looks good with her hair the way that it is. What I don't like is the fact that she doesn't need to show cleavage at her age. It just doesn't seem appropriate for her or anyone else her age. I did like her dress but if it did not expose her breast it would have been a lot better. I do like her makeup because it looks natural and not overdone.
Their are a lot of actresses on tv that have too much makeup on but she doesn't. It looks good. And I also think that it's more realistic for a woman her size to see rather than women who are so thin that they have no shape at all. To me there's nothing wrong with her figure. She looks good.

Nikki is looking gorgeous once again. I love her long gorgeous blond hair. She was stunning in yesterday's episode and I loved her and Victor in the same room again. Watching gorgeous Nikki and Kay Chancellor discuss Victor over tea was like the old days. Glamor has returned to my favorite vet actors. Kay was stunning, as she usually is as well. They just reminded me yesterday of days gone by and how classy Y&R was and still could be.

And I really do think her wardrobe was improved significantly lately, compared to a year or two ago. I am not myself a big proponent of flowery stuff, however. I used to be able to wear flowery stuff when I was younger and was a couple sizes smaller.
