So now that Eric Braedon is safe (for the time being) must we worry about Lauren since Deacon has been told to go after Lauren and Michael?
Tracy Bregman is hardly on now, are they trying to get rid of Lauren altogether? It seems Rtder's mom is or is connected to Sheila, that does not bode well for the future of Ms Bregman.

She has hardly been in the show for years. I definitely think SHE should be worried, but I'm not worried. She's been a standby character for so long, she's not woven into any of the story lines.

Definitely! Rumor on the Sony board is several vets and a couple of newbies are in danger of being cut. Y&R's budget was cut by 50% so money has to be saved somewhere.

She is a happy housewife and owner of a elite boutique we seldom see....maybe she will finally get involved in a storyline....that would be nice

Well, what couple has been spared through all of this? Only Michael and Lauren. Since no one is safe on this show anymore, I have come to expect anything. Michael and Lauren are great together, there isn't enough of them frankly, but these hatchet people who write for this show are screwing it up so badly that I wouldn't be surprised. Also, there has been so much politics, money games and screwing with contracts going on behind the scenes of this show, I don't trust anything about this show anymore. I am tired of investing my valuable time everyday on a show that is as screwed up as this one is. I have lost alot of respect for the powers that own this show lately and the shabby way that they treat the actors. This show has one of the greatest cast members on daytime and yet, there seems to be no appreciation for that fact at all.

I don't know. I think her contract is set up as 'recurring' or something like that. She said she loves it because she gets to spend time with her family and barely do any work. When she is on, she does enough for the scene. If she is happy and the fans are why bother with it.

Oh did you hear, Victor(Eric Braeden) is staying.

She is not happy with her lack of airtime and neither are her fans. Michael has also been seriously backburned this year. They are completely wasting the talents of these actors and the goodwill they have with the fans.

Christian Le Blanc just won his third lead actor emmy in five years and what do these brain surgeons do? They make him a supporting player for supporting characters and write him off the show for weeks at a time. Tracey Bregman has two supporting actress emmy nominations in the last four years and they decide to rarely use her even though she has proven her popularity on two shows over a span of 25 years.

They certainly don't cost as much as the other couples who get excessive airtime. They only pay Tracey when she is used and CLB probably has a decent salary but far less than the top paid performers. So if they let one or both go, budget issues would not be the case although I am sure that is the excuse they would use.

You see this is what writers do when they want to get rid of popular characters. They neglect them in hopes of breaking the affection the fans have for them. They have been doing this to Lauren and Michael for a year now.

The fact is these writers don't like them because they don't fit into their type of storytelling. They are two convincing as a couple. Who knows if they have something personal against Tracey Bregman and Christian Le Blanc. They have been loyal empoyees who speak highly of the show. You never hear anything controversial from them and they rarely complain other than to say they would like to work more. And what do they get for their loyalty, hard work and talent? The backhand from the show and the writers.

And yet who do these writers want to make the stars of the show? Characters like Adam, Amber, Billy and MJ. And while they have their place on the show should it be at the expense of characters like Lauren and/or Michael?

Amber deserves to be a main character. She's one of my favorites to watch.

Lauren and Michael are my favorite couple because they're monogomous and you can see the love they have for each other. Lauren is very loyal to Michael's family, even his crazy mother, and welcomed Eden with open, loving arms. They're a wholesome couple which is a breath of fresh air compared to other couples on this show. Tracy Bregman and Christian LeBlanc are great actors and I do not want them to leave, I want them to get more air time. Fen is absolutely adorable and Lauren is just beautiful!

Sharon, Adam, Ashley, Abbey, Chloe, Billy, and Paul can leave also. In my opinion, they are useless characters!!
