I can believe that it was a publicity stunt by the TPTB. I can't see EB doing that to his fans though.

No Stormynights, it wasn't wishful thinking on my part (hopefully, you didn't mean "lie"). I simply reported what Sharon said. Me, I couldn't have cared less if he stayed or left.

Well, I know that the higher salaries of soap stars are a thing of the past. But I think that the tidal wave of support for EB/Victor had an effect in this negotiation. Last I heard, EB had cut off any negotiation. So they must have gone to him with a changed attitude. You don't treat a soap star like EB the shabby way they were! I'm glad EB is back. But I still can't stand to watch the show...not with the Adam/Ashley/Sharon mess still ongoing.

TPTB have gone after Eric Braeden, Melody Thomas Scott, Sean Kanan, Jess Walton, and Don Diamont. (Not to mention the disappearing Winters family and poor Colleen.) Who is next?

I'm glad he is staying. I'm wondering if they are still having William Russ on the show.

Finally something good happened for the Young and The Restless! Eric Braeden (Victor) is staying and the Only reason that I will stay too! I have just about had it with the writing at Y&R and the story lines that are making it into a nightmare! This show used to be about integrity, honor, respect, love and just plain doing the right thing. I was getting whiplash watching Nick go back and forth with Sharon and Phyllis! Nick and Sharon should be together for their love is original and forever. Nick and Phyllis just have a hot sex life, and besides, if any of you recall, when Phyllis announced that the paternity of Summer was Nick, well, think again, only she announced it and did not show proof to anyone. I Did like Phyllis with Jack and thought that their love was real and original and that they were very similiar. Dump Adam and his story line, he is a waste of skin and there is a seat in hell next to Hitler with his name on it! You can put Gloria and Jeff in the same category! As you can see I have watched Y&R since it started, and the greatest love story's are of Victor and Nicki, & Nick and Sharon. Without the foundation of the show with these main love interests and their history, there isn't any show worthwhile, and in this time of the world with all of it's uncertainty, I need my entertainment to be worthwhile, comforting, and progressive without being stupid like other soaps were in their choice of writing ( Passions, Day's etc) and not aggravating and uninventive like a reality show! Thank you!

im thrilled that eric is back, the show wouuld have died without him...i dont buy into the conspiracy of it was a spike for ratings, hello number one for decades...but my first thought was as a person who had a transplant, the show made it a focus for organ donation and doubted they would kill off the reciepient of an organ donation since that is their social message...point 2...people get on the writing of victor as being ruthless after the transplant..that has always been part of the character and enjoyed by many...point 3...correct me if im wrong, when nick wrote a bad article of victor he was reminded victor owns the building of restless style...sure billy will get same reminder in not as such a polite way, sure will be reminded in a typical victor newman way and look forward to that

I knew he wasn't gonig anywhere. It was all hype an no punch. Me for one, wouldn't miss nim, so it made me no difference that he stay or go.

Happy, happy, joy, joy!!! So happy EB is staying if it's true. No one could be Victor better than EB. If they did try to replace him, they would have mighty big shoes to fill.

I think this was all a publicity stunt. You all who poured your heart out for EB to stay should feel dooped! Just another way to generate hype amongst the fans because of sinking ratings. SHAMELESS if you ask me!
