I know there are folks that have been very upset at the current story lines lately on the Y&R (at times I too have been left scratching my head and wondering what the writers have been smoking), but today's Cdn episode made me appreciate the acting skills of the whole ensemble. Well done. |

Today was a day of magnificent performances. Beth Maitland's heartbreaking performance today was stunning- they should be engraving her Emmy as we speak. She made Tracy's emotions so honest and real, not over the top or too dramatic. My eyes were not dry at all whenever she was on. And then Sharon Case- another Emmy worthy performance which, like Beth's, made her emotional turmoil seem honest and real. Sharon is left alone to mourn the loss of a child once again, and my heart went out to her. It will be a real crime if either of these top notch performances are ignored at Emmy nomination time! |

I agree! I only caught the last few minutes, but those last few scenes were powerful omg! I was crying my eyes out! |

Fabulous....and why I am not tuning out....this is a soap and not a sitcom where things get resolved in a half hour. As in life, relationships and the dimensions that exist in them take time to develop and time to act out. THe acting will propel the characters and drive the storylines. Like a good novel we now know what the characters are feeling. That is rare outside of novels and why I love Y&R. It can be slow...but it is sure! |

I thought that Beth Maitland just absolutely took this show today. I honestly don't remember when anyone was so compelling on this show. She just made me sob when I watched her. She is such a great actress and it reminded me how much I miss her on this show. She was always the Abbott with a heart. She was probably the most Emmy worthy of them all. Her whole story, the anguish, the hurt and heart of her was just magnificent. She took this show today! |

No doubt Maitland and Case have given incredible performances over the last one to two weeks. Two women mourning their babies, and both actresses showed the excruciating agony and pain that women go through when they lose children. There is no greater pain in the world and they both conveyed that beautifully. Kudos! |
