;( I am past confused, crushed and discouraged. I've watched this program since the 70's and I never dreamed the story lines would turn in the direction they are going. all most everyone is either in jail, going to jail or dying. Why has the show turned criminal? And worst of all I am stunned and shocked that you would allow Sharon's child to be taken away from her again. Its almost as if you intentionally create all negative things to fall directly on her most of all. I am sick with grief by what you have done to her character. I need answers as I am sure others do also. Since I could not bear to see Sharon's baby taken ( AND WHO COULD DO THIS IN A HOSPITAL IS BEYOND ME) I opted out until I can hear something positive. I truly feel it may be time for me to move on.

What irks me about it all is that s/ls are never if ever resolved. For instance, will the truth come out that Estella did not gaslight Ashley? I was sooo hoping that poor, innocent Estella would be vindicated and both Victor & Ashley would have egg on their faces. I guess I won't hold my breath!!

Stupid, Stupid, Stupid. This is a waste of time. I can't believe how long this junk has gone on between Adam and Ashley, Phyllis, Nick and Sharon. Now, the stupidity of Victor being somewhat responsible for Colleen’s death and benefiting from receiving her heart. Even though this is fiction, at least try and let it make sense. I’m done watching until the end of the year. Maybe the writers will bring some of this mess to closure. If not, I'm done for good.

And to have Colleen die and then give her heart to Victor. Come on....

So sad with the way this show has gone. I don't know if I can stand much more of this. Maybe it's time to give the DVR a rest.

I am surprised this thread is still up and running....I was told that I cannot post a question on the board and apparently I cannot post a comment either...ModJade told me so...I give this one 5 seconds before she closes this one down too once I comment...I agree with everyone's post here...the writing is not as good as it was, the show is not of the same calibre that it was and this blog is not as interesting as it once was...5,4,3,2,1....

Actually this is the designated thread to post about the writing which was opened by me due to numerous duplicate threads. Your question was answered - there was nothing wrong with it. I appreciate this thread being open and once again I will just say that the story lines are stupid and we viewers are not stupid. The writers have made this soap way beyond believable and if I were to go into detail I'd be here typing for a long time. The baby switch was not what I thought it would be and so unlikely. This is a soap and I realize that some things are not going to be as I like it but nothing about that story line was believable or made a bit of sense. Most people whether talented or not could write better story lines. I am still watching because I usually want to find out what's going to happen next, but most of the time I am disappointed. There are so many s/l's that are unresolved and we are left hanging. I have no idea what the reason for this is but at least the writers should follow up with something that they start to do. Nothing makes sense and is so confusing. The writers need to be fired and new ones should be hired.

Well, I think Ive only posted once or twice before. Im not a regular poster but I did feel the need to post how much I agree that the writing sucks lately. These storylines are just dragging on and on and I just dont really care what happens to these characters anymore. The characters are not being true to form and that's what the viewer gets engaged with. These stories dont reflect the sign of the times, rather its based on 1960 storylines that are not engaging or entertaining for 2009 viewer.

I keep hoping they are listening to all of us and things will change, but it doesnt, it just keeps getting worst and worst. Its very frustrating and I think Im turned off to the point I dont care to watch this soap anymore. I dont feel like Ill be missing out on anything. Nothing at all!
