I rescue animals and can't stand them being hurt. They are here for us to take care of, not to allow someone to abuse or kill them. This show before you know it will have have Animal Control agency taking action. Your story line could possibly make other people hurt animals like you are showing. Yes I know it is only a soap. But, WHAT some PEOPLE SEE, Sometimes they copy it. This needs to stop. What happened to the cat, I've seen the stuffed cat, but, I missed the show that day. The show is so slow and stupid lately, that, I usually just read daily updates, I do not even remember seeing anthing about the cat. |

Sasusan - Apparently the cat is taxidermied. It "used" to be Mary Jane's alive cat. She made a statement in one of the episodes (or actually she was talking to the cat, as usual)that she was sorry she had done that. Gave the impresion she had killed "Kitty." Maybe someone else can tell you in more detail - I usually turn my head when kitty scenes come on. |

The first time I remember animal abuse on Y&R was when Gloria tempted Noah's dog Fisher with a steak and he took the bait and was lost and missing until Noah found him again. |

mary jane is psychotic, they are obviously not encouraging or endorsing animal cruelty. come on. and for that matter if they were to morally restrict the actions of the characters the show would be about a bunch of happy couples. |

I agree with this comment...Soaps have issues always and do some public announcements every so often, but I don't think that showing couples "coupling" with other people's spouses endorses that behavior...it's just a show, just entertainment, not real life, and storylines are contrived (at times,  what are those in charge thinking?) with situations that are based on far-out reaching thinking (?)...as a side thought: even if they were to allude to goldfish floating in a fish tank, that too would not be a great idea...

Well, it is a daytime show. I would rather not see EITHER, child abuse or animal cruelty. Get enough of that in the evening, thank you. |
