Cane snatched off Amber's wig at the show to prove she was a fraud. He slammed Chloe for lying and manipulating to get what she wants. Cane is the pot calling the kettle black. As far as your point about him wanting to be loved, is not a better reason for lying than the others on the show. As a matter a fact it is worst because love is priceless and he stole something from all the people like Lily, Jill and Mrs C who trusted him, stood by him and defended him, he stole their trust, love and part of their lives all things that cannot be replaced. Money can be replaced. So it does not matter that he was not there to steal money, instead he was selfish and only thought about himself. He knew he was not the father of Chloe's baby, but he lied anyway and married her. and then acted like it was the end of the world, when he knew all along that the baby was not his. He was playing a game, acting like he needed to be with Chloe. Then blamed Chloe, and she was wrong but so was he, trying to get Delia for him and Lily. Cane is a con man, he saw the baby that he always wanted and went after her by lying, just like he lied about who he was to get a family. Just maybe I would feel sorry for him if he wasn't so hypocritical of everyone else. So quick to judge others action when he was a con himself and had used others to get what he wanted. So defend him if you want but please remember the facts. Hold on guys, why is Cane getting all the heat for this? If you ask me, Philip should be getting it worse for faking his death for 20 yrs, not being in his sons or his wife's life, putting his family through heartache and asking a friend to pose as him in the first place. Who does that? And why? all cause he felt isolated as a child? What?! Cane is taking all the tongue lashings for this guy. Why hasnt anyone really laid into Phillip? He deserves it more than Cane. |

Phillip 3 lied, faked his death and ran FROM family...Cane lied to run TO family! Yes, Cane lied about who he really was but he wanted a family so bad he would do anything to have one and anything to keep that family! Over and over we have heard Cane say how thankful he is for the gift of Lily and his family's love...On Friday Lily even said to him "Why do you call it a gift". This is how Cane saw this as a gift from Phillip 3 to finally belong in a family. |

Cane has always showed a great deal of love and affection for Jill and Kay. He didn't swindle them out of money, he worked and earned every penny of his salary and he turned down large monetary gifts from Kay and wanted to make his own way. Hopefully Lily will see that NO MAN could ever love her the way Cane does..if she loves him as she says she does than she will go back to him because she knows lies or not, Cane is a GOOD MAN! Bravo, bravo. ITA. |

Cane is a good man because he ran to a family while PC III ran away from one? OK. So it is a good man who lies to achieve his goals - a family. But PC III a bad man who lies to run away from a dysfunctional one. Right? |

They generated their own karma. Cane's lying does not negate their terrible deeds. Chloe and Amber are not vindicated in my eyes because Cane lied.Ultimately I could care less about Chloe or Amber. I do care about Cane and his relationship with Lily, Jill, and Mrs. C, which will be healed once they realize that Cane is a good guy that did something wrong in his lying. These women's lives have been enriched by Cane and they in time will come to realize that and forgive. Just as others were forgiven and/or given a total pass altogether. |

I have said before that Cane was wrong to lie but for all of the perfect people that has never done anything wrong or told a lie in your life cast the first stone then we will see who is the last one standing. Forgiveness is what we all should practice especially the good upstanding citizens of GC because we all know that none of them has even done anything wrong. SARCASM! |

Cane was wrong for lying about who he was but it is just a shame people can't see him for the person he is. He isn't littered with faults like Billy. He could have taken advantage of the Chancelor fortune many times over but didn't. He just wanted a freaking family. Someone to love. He had Jill's back no matter what. When you think of it he was used by Amber, Chloe, Jill and Kay. He didnt want to fall for Lily because "she was young" but he couldn't help it they had a lot in common. I find myself more pissed off at Nina more then anyone. In fact it has to make her feel like crap that a man would rather die (literally) then be with her... |

Whatever his reasons for helping PC3, I don't think he was trying to hurt anyone. I know that every one is mad at him right now and they have a right to be but hopefully his character will be redeemed and he will stay in GC for a long time. He was a more faithful son and Chancellor than PC3 ever was. I agree with you 100%. I love cane. |

Remember when Tyra and Ana first came to GC. He put them up in a hotel and paid for it himself. When Lily had problems, he was always there to confide in. The same with Jill. He was always there for Jill through tears and cheers. IMHO, Cane gave more than he received. I understand where he is coming from because he had no one. Everybody at the BBQ had families to grow up with. Billy & Philip took theirs for granted and Cane was appreciative to have found one. My heart breaks and bleeds for him because if anyone should have stood by him, it should have been Lily. She is the only person he has spoken to about his lonely childhood. I literally cried when he told Lily about his childhood and that he loved her and he always will. GMAB! Good guys don't infiltrate families trying to fit in. Good guys don't look down their noses and judge others. Yeah, he is a real good guy if lying, manipulating, covering up, etc, is how you define a good guy. He made me want to puke with his soft spoken whining on Friday's US show. |
